I was at this bar on sunday, and every screen was watching a different game. I even got to see Newcastle vs Westham on TV

Well I only get 2 types of games here in Canada where I live; Bundesliga and EPL.

At least they got it right for the most part, but for every 1 Bundesliga game, there are 5 EPL games being shown.

EPL is the most exciting league to watch for many reasons. no one can deny that. but please cut the childish we are the best crap.

In Southern Africa we have SuperSport... Don't know about the rest of Africa.

SuperSport is so great that it broadcasts all 380 Premier League matches, but of course not all of them live.

It's about the only great thing in Africa, imo
SuperSport also broadcasts La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A matches, though not all of the matches. It also used to broadcast Ligue 1 and Brazilian league matches but not anymore.

And the EPL is hands down the best and most exciting league to watch in this world, don't care what any of the other league's fanboys says coz I ONLY SPEAK THE TRUTH AND FACTS.

To say Bundesliga is better than the EPL is just ridiculous, Bundesliga teams don't have money to compete with EPL. Actually no other league can compete money-wise with EPL. Please cut the bullcrap.

Thing is that EPL is only growing more and more. More money = better footballers + better managers = better football.

Bundesliga or La Liga or Serie A... neither can compete with EPL, because of the money. With these new deals Norwich City will earn more money from TV rights than most of the top teams in Germany, Spain or Italy.

With Bayern it was one blip, ManCity is crap in the CL for two seasons now. And Chelsea weren't exactly playing "better football" either, they were just parking the bus and lucking out. Heck, even Bayer Leverkusen beat them last season and they were steamrolled by Barca as you might remember.

Exactly. Lucky. But not really pleasing to watch while they did it.

Who were Chelsea lucky against? Barca created nothing v them over two legs.. Bayern nothing in the final.

Chelsea were lucky against Bayern as Bayern got chances en masse, but just failed to convert them. If you let the opponent create chances, you don't really have a good defensive performance. Chelsea only lucked out because Robben & Co misfired.

Let's be fair here, packed modern stadiums, rivalry across the table, entertaining matches regardless of who is playing who, controversy! The only league which is comparable (and better imo is Bundesliga)! However that doesn't mean a lot, for example Serie A have crazy players, crazy presidents and crazy coaches; uniqueness across the globe but still inferior!

There is nothing that great about beating this out of form Arsenal (who are barely scraping top 10) and a Manchester City who are known to flop in the Europa League and the Champions League.

There is also was nothing lucky about Chelsea winning the CL.

They pulled a valiant and intelligent counter-attacking system which dismantled Barca as the latter team simply didn't take their chances. Chelsea deserved to go through 100%

Bayern? Chelsea were without Ivanovic and their best CB John Terry. Nothing lucky about that either. Bayern didn't take their chances but so didn't Milan who failed that way to win the Serie A last year. Chelsea once again deployed a modern Catennacio system which kept their defence compact and ready to break on the counter. Chelsea in the end took their chances while Bayern didn't. Bayern also had the home advantage and couldn't even stop themselves from choking in penalties when they had the better GK and personnel. Nothing lucky about the win in any sense of the word.

Chelsea were only lucky vs Napoli imo.

i dont think the pl is uni vocally the most exciting league in the world , imean the serie a ,la liga , bundesliga all have a lot of excitement in different positions. almost all the top leagues were two horse leagues last season, so the top of the table excitement was kind of uniform. and there was great competition in all those leagues for the cl positions, relegation dog fights as well. the pl is marketed far better and hyped up well , thats what contributes it to being so popular. it doesnt necessarily mean it is the best
