Best Bond movie of all time?
My top 5 are:
1. Live And Let Die
2. Goldfinger
3. Goldeneye
4. Skyfall(yes, believe it or not, it was that awesome)
5. The Spy Who Loved Me
All 5 are my favourite Bond movies. I quickly fell in love with Skyfall and I must say I'm going to make sure I own a copy of it.
Also, favourite Bond actors? Mine:
1. Roger Moore
2. Pierce Brosnan
3. Sean Connery
(For those of you that haven't seen Skyfall yet, you'll understand when you do see it)

Re: Best Bond movie of all time?
Roger Moore's my favorite Bond so I largely prefer his movies.
Live and Let Die is my favorite one, but certainly not the best.
The Man with the Golden Gun, From Russia with Love, and Octopussy were all superior.
Skyfall is the only Bond movie I haven't seen yet so I can't rate it right now.

Re: Best Bond movie of all time?
I have quite different tastes to those who have already posted...
Seen all the Bonds except Skyfall...
Best Movie
1. From Russia With Love - Connery
2. Thunderball - Connery
3. Goldfinger - Connery
4. Tomorrow Never Dies - Brosnan
5. Casino Royale - Craig
6. The Man with the Golden Gun - Moore
Note: A lot of people really like Goldeneye (video game was the best ever game IMO), but I find it a bit too corny. Good characters in Boris (the sidekick computer hacker with the glasses) and Xenia Onatopp (the woman who kills people during sex) - trivia: the same actor who plays Xenia is Liam Neeson's wife in Taken.
Worst Movies
1. A View to a Kill
2. Octopussy - many people like this, but I think it's awful. Roger Moore sneaks into a compound disguised as an alligator, later he takes on the villains, who are mostly circus performers.
3. Moonraker - Plot: If Hitler had access to space age technology, this is what would've happened.
4. Licence to Kill
5. Live and Let Die - Again, lots of people like this, but I think the story is ridiculous (even too ridiculous for Bond) and it gets quite boring in some parts too.
6. Quantum of Solace - absolutely awful plot.
Best Bond
1. Sean Connery - (easily the most cool and suave Bond)
2. Pierce Brosnan - (qustionable, Die Another Day was pretty dodgy)
3. Daniel Craig
4. Early Roger Moore
5. Timothy Dalton
6. George Lazenby
7. Senile Roger Moore
Best Bond Villains:
1. Scaramanga (The Man with the Golden Gun) - Christopher Lee
2. Auric Goldfinger (Goldfinger) - Gert Fröbe
3. Ernst Stavro Blofeld (From Russia with Love, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only) - Donald Pleasence, Telly Savalas, Charles Gray and Max von Sydow)
4. Emilio Largo (Thunderball) - Adolfo Celi
5. Max Zorin (A View to a Kill) - Christopher Walken
6. Dr. Julius No (Dr. No) - Joseph Wiseman
Best Villain Sidekick
1. Jaws (The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker) - Richard Kiel
2. Oddjob (Goldfinger) - Harold Sakata
3. Boris Grishenko (Goldeneye) - Alan Cumming
4. Nick Nack (The Man With the Golden Gun) - Hervé Villechaize
5. Rosa Klebb (From Russia With Love) - Lotte Lenya
6. Grant (From Russia with Love) - Robert Shaw
7. Dario (License to Kill) - Benicio Del Toro
Best Bond Girl:
1. Honey Ryder (Dr. No) - Ursula Andress
2. Pussy Galore (Goldfinger) - Honor Blackman
3. Vesper Lynd (Casino Royale) - Eva Green
4. Anya Amasova (The Spy Who Loved Me) - Barbara Bach
5. Tracy di Vicenzo [Bond's wife] (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) - Diana Rigg
6. Melina Havelock (For Your Eyes Only) - Carole Bouquet
Best Bond Song:
1. The James Bond Theme Song (Dr. No) - Monty Norman
2. Goldfinger - Shirley Bassey
3. You Only Live Twice - Nancy Sinatra
4. Live and Let Die - Paul McCartney & Wings
5. Diamonds are Forever - Shirley Bassey
6. A View to a Kill - Duran Duran
7. Tomorrow Never Dies - Sheryl Crowe
8. The World is Not Enough - Garbage
9. Thunderball - Tom Jones
10. On Her Majesty's Secret Service - John Barry Orchestra
Worst Bond Song:
1. All Time High (Octopussy) - Rita Coolidge
2. Die Another Day - Madonna

Great work on that post, Forza.
Personally, Garbage's theme song for the World is Not Enough is my favorite overall.

Re: Best Bond movie of all time?
Great to see some love for Roger, he's my favourite too.
Not an expert on Bond's sorry, but felt I needed to say that.
Definitely enjoyed most of his movies.
I rate Daniel Craig actually. I think he's what the series needed, a bit more badass and emotionally compromised. He actually has flaws, Brosnan got a bit boring I found.
Connery probably number three.
1. Moore
2. Craig
3. Connery

Re: Best Bond movie of all time?
Moore and Brosnan captured that playful, witty yet aloof and cold Bond perfectly. That's why I rate them both higher than any other Bond.
Connery was a tad too serious and didn't seem like one to banter. Dalton was just too emotional and that was when he was not being decidedly average. Craig looks like he takes being Bond way too seriously. He looks like more of an assassin at times, cold and ruthless, instead of an agent for good. Lazenby actually wasn't that bad, but was just decidedly average looking for a character like Bond.

Re: Best Bond movie of all time?
This is all true. Lazenby's got offered to do another Bond, but his agent advised him that the franchise was going nowhere due to new age thinking, feminism, etc. Tbf to Lazenby, the 1 film he did was actually the most defining in terms of Bond's character...Blue Barrett wrote:Spot on! - Spoiler:
- considering he gets married and then his wife is killed minutes later.
I like the earlier Roger Moore stuff, but by the end, he really is far too old for the role and Bond couldn't be taken seriously any more. For Brosnan, I really liked Tomorrow never Dies, a movie loosely based on the life of Rupert Murdoch. Goldeneye and The World is not Enough were good, but he was such a ponce in Die Another Day.

Been having a Bond Marathon this past week and I’m almost done with the Moore ones. What a drag. He’s even Moore terrible than I remember. He plays the role like a creepy, perverted uncle.

I see what you did there
This is a good bump though. I have largely become indifferent to Bond honestly, even Moore these days. I have pretty much no motivation to watch these films anymore beyond maybe Brosnan's first 3 for nostalgia's sake.

I swear that pun was not intentional
My brain must have frozen. Some kind of Freudian slip.
Out of the first 14 ones there’s really only three I really like.
Goldfinger, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (by far the best visually and direction wise), and From Russia With Love.
Christopher Lee is probably the best villain so far though.
Also don’t think I’ve watched as many of these before as I thought. Only remember having seen the Connery ones and Moonraker before this week.

The Sean Connery ones are the best imo. Sean Connery is my #1 with Daniel Craig a close second. Best villain for me is Goldfinger.
Favorite film is between From Russia With Love and Thunderball.

It won’t happen. It’s people misconstruing the information to rile people up. In the new movie there’s a woman wearing the ‘007’ agent name. But she’s not a female Bond. Bond is retired and someone has to use the number. But that doesn’t get clicks.
Barbara Broccoli has stated it will always be a man, but they’re open to casting any man, not just a white one.
Richard Madden is still my pick.

He won't be. He is way too old to start now. Can see it being Daniel Kaluuya. My top choice is Hiddleston followed by Madden.
