Re: World Cup U-20 - Columbia 2011
It heavily conflicts with la Copa America, saldy. Not much of a chance of watching many games, even over here.
Oh, and it's ColOmbia.

Re: World Cup U-20 - Columbia 2011
i think for players like Pacheco, going there isnt doing themselves any favour.
now he will miss all the pre-season and therefore wont be able to impress Kenny and show him he deserves to be part of LFC squad...

One too many, in my opinion. Would much rather Afobe play in pre-season.
Most of our good English talent play U21 or senior level - Wilshere, Walcott, Gibbs and Lansbury - while the rest are "okay" but not really that special. Bartley is too good for U20 and will probably step-up to U21 if Smalling makes more senior team appearances. Other than him, it's pretty average.
We've got some good 15-17 year olds coming through, at the very least.
By the way, England start their campaign on July 29th against North Korea. 20:30 Colombian time.

This team played vs Spain in Euro U-17 Final & lost 4-0 .. 3 years ago (Thiago was on the team)..
last season France U-19 also played against Spain U-19 IN FRANCE (Euro U-19 Final) & france were lucky to win 2-1!!
Imo, Spain has a better team.. but its Wc now not just european teams.. african teams in youth always make gd results (better physically).. + they have to face Brazil & Argentina!! so it won't be easy for Spain or France, but for sure they will compete..
Hopefully, Sergi Roberto will take Thiago's role in this tournament & lead Spain for glory lol

a little bit like when Jones was 1st called to play with englands' u21.
those kind of players are so ahead of their group of age that its logical to promote them so soon.
