Nishank is very busy, so I'm taking full responsibility for dropped points.

Can't afford sloppy goals. This could be the Sunderland game all over again if we are not clinical.

1. statistics saying: there is no way we will loose this match...the record is they havnt won at anfield in 49 games, that's a record in EPL
2. I hope, somehow we will be able to score because stoke dont concede easily. That's how they play, last season also ended in 0-0 at anfield
3. Chelsea needed 19 shots to score 1 goal although only 4 were on target
But I am sure that this match is the start of winning games at home for liverpool

I think the score will be 1-0/2-0 to Liverpool.
Suarez will score.
Suarez will score.

Your most likely line up is false
Suso and Wisdom are both starting

You're probably right Sep, that lineup is just my best guess. It's going to be a difficult game, but if we can get a first half lead then I'm pretty sure we can get all the points.

We will likely play very well as we have for long stretches in matches all season. However, that won't decide this match. Two things will:
- 1) The referee's opinion on fouls. - Whether we get fouls against Suarez Suso and Sterling will go a long way toward determining this match. You know Stoke will batter the front three, and none of them are particularly bruising forwards. The ref's view on early challenges will set the tone. If we can get a few calls, I like Suarez's chances from set pieces, and god-forbid the ref gives us a penalty when someone drops an elbow on his head while through on goal and in the penalty box. ..
- 2) Mental errors. - In this system, mental weakness can easily lead to goals. The system relies on everyone being accountable for their positional responsibilities. Someone neglecting responsibilities or "checking out" mentally places the CBs and Reina at a severe disadvantage. We have yet to fully acclimatize to this systematic approach. WE shown some very good signs, but have simply made too many errors. Allen, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, and Johnson need to be sharp in their tactical awareness and position in order to nullify Crouch and Walters.
This match will be nervy, as Stoke will defend well. They will invite us forward, looking to break on the counter or nick a goal from a ball into the box. I expect us to have amazing possession, pass completion, and likely shots. The question is if we can make those few quality chances count.

Will be in the middle of a 6 hour drive during the match tomorrow, so won't be able to watch. Hopefully the lads will bounce back from the EL defeat.

Stoke City are playing rugby I'm afraid for our players safety. Agger was MOTM in the first half. Let's see how this one goes.

again the same story,
stats: 19 shots, but only 2 on target...i totally feel that we are just unlucky although we can cry the whole time for logical reasons as we always do
not sure when it will turn around
please please please someone should bring some luck to our team

If you're playing Hide & Seek and you tell the seeker where you are going to hide it's no longer down to luck when he actually finds you.

It's not down to luck anymore. We simply didnt do enough to deserve a win. We can cry about it but it wont change anything. We need our players to get themselves together. Awful performance from Stevie.

All the media will be talking about this challenge:
When this is the challenge that should get the attention:
On the first gif, it looks like Suarez was tripped. However, going to ground was utterly unnecessary. Then again, when crap like the second gif was going on, I might've tried anything and everything to get an advantage, too.
The positive is that we kept a clean sheet for the first time.

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Stoke City || Anfield, BPL
Not so disappointed to be honest. Why should we complain about drawing at Anfield when since the past 3 years Anfield has been quieter then a Serie C stadio along with our atrocious record there? Its a myth now. Why should be cry harder because of losing against Stoke, when considering technical possession sides like us ALWAYS struggle against such footballing teams.
Backline was finally solid for once. Wisdom is a physical beast and shows some good touches. Skrtel and Agger as especially Agger was absolute class and our MOTM by far. Johnson cannot attack for shit on the left but at least can defend better there.
Sahin despite his class struggled with the physicality. Allen surprisingly showed a more combative performance and kept it tidy. Stevie was 50-50. Did well in contributing in his forward drives yet is still in hodgson mode with his pointless long balls. Stop doing that FFS.
Suso probably had his best game with us as his link up play and passing was up to what we expect of him. Yet what was most impressive was how he coped with the physicality well. JUST LIKE SILVA AGAIN.
Sterling was solid yet holds on the to ball too much and does a bit too much with it and needs to keep it more simple. Suarez did everything but score and was a nightmare for the defence.
BR's blunder was putting in our highest paid player who is nothing more than an overweight and failed future prospect when Borini's movement and intelligence could have done far better.
We need to improve ourselves in the final third and stop giving long balls. (Looking at you Skrtel, Pepe, Gerrard and Glen).
Oh yea...and usual the refereeing was insanely bad but such is the league with the worst refs in the world.
Next is Reading which we CANNOT possibly lose.

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Stoke City || Anfield, BPL
I'm becoming frustrated with Allen. He's seems punitively cautious going forward yet willing to play some of the most absurd passes back to Reina and the centrebacks you'll ever see in you life.
There was a 2 minute spell where the ball was just being cycled between them and every single time it just looked like a disaster waiting to happen.

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Stoke City || Anfield, BPL
In fairness, Allen's game is centered around short passing and the retention of possession. If the opponent presses and his teammates don't react quickly to get into the passing lanes, he doesn't have any choice but to try to cycle it backwards. That is the basic premise of Rodger's game. That said, the quality of those passes is certainly questionable at times. Generally, we need to be more aware in and around our own penalty box in order to successful implement this playing style.

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Stoke City || Anfield, BPL
The teams concentration lapses at times are the probably the main thing that's hurting us on the defensive end. Somehow Rodgers needs to improve the players' focus during games because so many of the goals have been conceded because of individual brain farts/loss of focus.
