- Patxi Punal 4 match ban for telling the same official "I shit on your whore of a mother"
- Fabio Coentrao 4 match ban for cursing the referee of Getafe-Real Madrid "You are a son of a bitch"

Why do footballers have to get that mad at referees. It's not the end of the World...

All I can say is I give respect to the refferees for not losing it. Listening to abusive comments towards their family every couple of days
I'm surprised some of them haven't snapped.

how could the referee hear what Cacktrao said, he was so far away lol
Anyways Tito's ban starts after this game while Cacktrao's starts from tonight definitely fair eh??
@Mole, we will appeal according to our official website

I honestly feel like a 2 match ban is kind of strong for an in-game protest (what would have happened if Tito had publicly denounced the referee at a press conference, alla Mou?) but they had to get Barca in there to stop Madrid conspiracy theorists from crying foul

Come on now, a 4 match ban is ridiculous. 2 matches would be reasonable since a straight red usually means 2 matches which is something most would accept.

Re: New Committee of Competition in Spain makes an example of Tito and Coentrao
but lets not forget Ozil being suspended for "sarcastically" clapping at the referee
These referees are emotionally unstable and would red card you and suspend you for doing anything that would mess with their fragile feelings

Re: New Committee of Competition in Spain makes an example of Tito and Coentrao
"FC Barcelona's legal services will appeal Tito Vilanova's two-match ban imposed by the Spanish Football Federations competition committee," the club said in a statement.
"It's worth noting that FC Barcelona contested the allegations made in Muniz Fernandez's post-match report, where the referee stated that the FC Barcelona manager was ejected for 'angrily protesting a play of the match, after he had been warned by the assistant referee'," the club said.

Just saying that the committee is acting big and mighty and showing off and look what we can do and in the end they won't stick to the bans they hand out.

Referees should carry stun-guns in their pockets and be allowed to defend themselves if abused. That should stop any abuse towards refs
