Allegri won’t stop Cassano move

Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that the club won’t block Antonio Cassano’s exit after he asked for a transfer.

The Rossoneri confirmed last night that they are in negotiations with Inter over a possible swap with Giampaolo Pazzini.

And Allegri has now made it clear that the idea to leave Milanello has come from the man who joined them from Sampdoria in January 2011.

“It’s a shame,” Allegri stated to Milan Channel after the 3-2 loss to Juventus in the Trofeo Berlusconi tie. “Antonio has been here for a year and a half.

“He did really well in his first six months where he made the difference. Then the problem with his heart stopped him.

“I think that despite the qualities of Cassano, it’s not a good idea to keep players against their will – it would not be good for Cassano or Milan.

“We need a forward who can play close to a centre-forward,” Allegri added. “Let’s see how this situation evolves.”

Pazzini also left Sampdoria in 2011, but he chose to join Inter instead. He’s been told to find a new club as Nerazzurri boss Andrea Stramaccioni doesn’t think he can play alongside Diego Milito.

Lichtsteiner set for Juve talks

Juventus will reportedly hold talks with the agent of Stephan Lichtsteiner this week about Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in him.

Although PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that the right-back is not one of their targets, the transfer rumour mill continues to link the defender with the French outfit.

It is being claimed that Juventus director general Beppe Marotta will meet with the Swiss international’s representative towards the end of the week to discuss their options.

The Old Lady now value the former Lazio player, signed at a cost of €10.5m last summer, at around €15m.

Paris SG are also said to be willing to offer the stopper a four-year deal worth €4m a campaign – around double his current salary.

The Turin giants could consider a sale given the presence of Martin Caceres, Simone Pepe and Mauricio Isla in their squad given that they can all play on the right in a 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 system.

Cassano and €7m for Pazzini!

Milan may have to offer as much as €7m cash, plus Antonio Cassano, for the services of Inter’s Giampaolo Pazzini.

The two clubs are discussing a swap deal for the former Sampdoria teammates given that their careers at their current clubs have come to an end.

Pazzini has been told to find a new outfit after failing to break into the first team plans of boss Andrea Stramaccioni.

Cassano, meanwhile, has put in a transfer request and the Diavolo are ready to offload him to their Stadio Meazza rivals.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani confirmed that talks with Inter regarding the proposed switch had already begun.

Rossoneri boss Massimiliano Allegri then added that the club would not block any move for the player who wants out of Milanello.

Cassano’s agent is set to hold talks with Inter director Marco Branca later today, while Pazzini’s representative, Tulio Tinti, has a meeting lined up with Galliani for Tuesday.

Cassano is 30, while Pazzini in 28. They both left Doria in January 2011.

De Rossi to reject Man City

Roma’s Daniele De Rossi will hold a Press conference on Tuesday where he is expected to officially turn down a move to Manchester City.

The Premiership champions are keen on the Italian international midfielder, but Sport Mediaset are reporting that he will publically reject a Premiership switch.

City are apparently ready to offer €35m to the capital club for their vice-captain, while offering the 29-year-old a four-year deal worth €9m a campaign.

De Rossi’s agent flew out for talks with City officials last week which suggested that the player was considering an exit.

Roma boss Zdenek Zeman yesterday also confirmed that he had spoken to City boss Roberto Mancini about Capitan Futuro.

The Roman was being heavily linked with a move away from his hometown club before he signed a new contract with the Giallorossi in February.

Speculation died down once he put pen to paper on a fresh agreement at the Stadio Olimpico until June 2017.

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani told Mediaset: "There is a negotiation ongoing with Inter, it is useless to deny it.

That's what we do and it restricts him, there's a reason i'm desperate for 4-3-3 and release any defensive shackles Cabaye has.

Anyone that buy's Cabaye for that sort of money and plays him that deep wants themselves shot.

Where did i say he was? he's technically gifted b2b midfielder sort of like a young Scholes before he was moved back and turned into a regista.

Playing him that deep restricts him, although he still does the job fantastically well.

Anyway this is a Surag dream lol, it's not happening if City wanted to get someone to move Rodwell to the bench they would get a much bigger name who is more suited to that position.
