Best manager in the League.
By far the best midfield.
Best striker (if he stays) & finally a decent backup.
3rd best CB in the League in Koscielny.
Only Vermalaen, Szczesny and injuries can screw them over.
Quality side.

Also Man Yoo, Chelsea and City still have business to complete.
Or City being above them because they have better players in nearly every position
Stop overrating them, they have bought very well but City are still comfortably better.
That's just comparing first eleven's on paper, then you have City's vastly superior squad.

Re: Will Arsenal win EPL now with their new signings?
Nope. Two main reasons are:
1) The new players need time to settle in and might not be at their best in their first year and,
2) We have a plethora of issues defensively that need resolving because you can't win things based on offence alone.
Yeah, on paper the side looks good and capable, but in reality there's still a lot of work to be done for it to become a side that can win things. By comparison, City and United don't have the same problems; both have settled teams with better players, both can actually defend.

Depth is overrated tbh. As long as you have around 15/16 top quality players you'll be fine. See Farca.
Perhaps they lack depth at RB but Sagna usually plays 90% of Arsenal games so he'll be fine. Left back position is a bit weak considering Gibbs always gets injured & Santos is a poor poor man's Marcelo but seems to be a gamble Wenger's seems willing to take.
GK is definitely a problem position for them. If only they could combine Szczesny's mentality with Fabianski's skills. They'd be sorted for the next decade.
CB depth is weak but Kos should be able to compensate for that with his quality.
Wide areas are strong. Gervinho, Godolski, Theo, Chambo, Arshavin etc Terrific strength in numbers there.
They have the best midfield in the country.
CF could be a bit of a problem if RVP leaves but if he stays Giroud, RVP & Podolski at times is more than enough considering they usually only play 1 up top.
@ Sepi
Only appreciate the GOAT that is Wenger. Taking Arsenal to 3rd after Cesc and Nasri screwed them over and that horrible start?
Top 4 every season he's been at Arsenal despite having a negative net spend. Guy's a God.

Depth isn't overrated with Arsenal's medical team
In any case City still have better player's in practically every position so it don't matter.

If you can get rid of Song you'll concede around 10-15 less goals than you did last season but yeah I agree defense is definitely the weakest area, Szcz lacks the quality to be a Top 4 keeper and Verm is liability.
Would have been a perfect summer if Wenger could get Vertonghen.
Sagna, Kos, Vert & Gibbs would have been the best defense in the League. On paper anyway.

Re: Will Arsenal win EPL now with their new signings?
I believe it to be more of a system issue than a personnel one. Not enough discipline, not enough pressing, no tracking back etc. I think it's these things that make our defenders look worse than they actually are, though I am willing to admit the majority of them have their fair share of faults.

We still haven't signed any defensive signings. The defensive issues are still there.
We won't win the league, pretty sure about that. City n United will be the top 2 again. However i can see us winning the FA Cup

As Jay said it's more of a system issue than a personnel issue, although Sagna aside your fullbacks are meh.

Are you kidding? We're on the way to a treble. Possible a quadruple if we get Sahin on loan

Song is off to Barca no? He's the major problem.
Arsenal have always had a solid defense under Wenger till he became a starter.

how do man city have better players in every position? thats bullshit mole, man city have a bigger squad therefore they are more consistent during the whole league campaign. They don't necessary have that much of a better first team, as our encounters show, we match them all the time when we face them in the league. kompany got made to look like an amateur at the emirates

Re: Will Arsenal win EPL now with their new signings?
No way... I hope the transfer market for Arsenal didn't end just yet. A defensive midfielder is totally needed imo. Securing Robin, Theo and Song etc etc...
Man Utd and City are still better in every way. Kagawa seems to be a top signing already, City haven't even signed one player yet and it's hard to believe they wont move for a world-class player (probably our best player) late in the transfer market. There's still Chelsea, Tottenham, Newcastle and Liverpool

Your encounter's mean jackshit.
Sunderland beat and drew with City last season, does that mean they are close to City?
Oh way to twist my words i said "nearly every position" which they do.
Urban we won't do nothing in the transfer market
Besides we won't come close to top 4 so no point discussing us

We may be serious contender now but let's not forget how badly our players get injured +++ Girourd , podolski will need time to adapt a bit like gervinho. quality wise we are far better than 1 year ago but every arsenal fan know it's not going to be easy. We also have that mental weakness : Remmenber 2008

From the looks of pre season I doubt we will. Suarez and Razak (finally!!) look as though they're ready to feature.

Re: Will Arsenal win EPL now with their new signings?
The same Man U that bottled a 10 point lead to City?
Or the City that needed Man U to bottle a 10 point lead to win the league?
Arsenal can win it imo. They've Wenger while the Manchesters don't.
And Cazorla All they need to do is to sign a proper DM and send Song to Barca. Sahin won't mean much imo, since he came back from injury he has been very meh. Believe me lol, Madrid fans will tell you otherwise becouse they love to overrate his performances but it's gonna take him awhile to settle in and I think he will get injured early in Arsenal which is gonna ruin it.

Re: Will Arsenal win EPL now with their new signings?
Arsenal don't have the mental ability that Man Utd does and besides the reason they got that lead in the first place was because City bottled it while Kompany was suspended, Silva injured and Yaya was at afcon etc etc.
In any case i see all this
But you all conveniently forget is how poor Arsenal are at tracking back, pressing, positioning themselves defensively and overall just being poor in defense.
This isn't inferior liga where defence is ignored, you actually need to know how to defend here.
This won't change, even ignoring all that City are still better in almost every department
LOL @ this sudden Wenger hype because he bought a few players btw, i remember last season about a lot of you saying he should be sacked and he is passed it etc etc.
Buy 3 players and he's god again
