Watched two David Fincher movies- "The Game" and "The girl with the dragon tattoo".
Both were fantastic, owing to the brilliant direction. I have loved all Fincher movies, in fact. Definitely one of the best current directors.

I thought Iron Man 3 was ok, took too long to get to the real battle parts.

Savages
Started off messy imo. Messy as in the film was just bottled up and the storyline really wasn't that good. However 1 hour into the movie it started getting a little interesting and I quite enjoyed it, but then again the end of the film is not so good. Empty characters, coupled with not so good performances. This film dwells between good and average for me, but if I had to put it to one side it would be average.
My rating: 6.1/10

Gangster Squad
It isn't great, but then again I didn't expect much from it. Dialogue was kinda corny at times, and not intense at all - well not to my liking at least. Emma Stone Heart was beautiful as ever Sean Penn's and Ryan Gosling's performances were okay but nothing special.

Will be heading out tomorrow to see Star Trek Into Darkness with my girl. Only actor I'm excited to see in this movie is Benedict Cumberbatch. Think he might just make a great villain.

I want to go see The Purge.

Just saw, a couple of days ago, Silver Linings Playbook and Gangster Squad.
Awesome couple of movies but SLP was just all sorts of amazing, hands down one of my personal favorites.

Can't wait for Star Trek this weekend cheers

After this some I'm going to be broke from going to the Cinema so much, I just have a long list of movies I have to see:
1. Before Midnight (A movie about a great conversation)
2. This is the End (Micheal Cera dies)
3. Man of Steel (This time they got it right)
4. Monsters University (Inside I'm 8 years old)
5. Pacific Rim (Robots and Aliens)
6. Red 2 (John Malkovich)
7. The Wolverine (Will be bad, but not as bad as the last one)
8. Elysium (District 9 was to good not to at least see this)
9. Kick Ass 2 (No idea how anything from the book made it in the movie)
10. The Worlds End (The end of the greatest trilogy known to man)

We watched it in IMAX and 3D with reclining chairs in the theatre.....expensive as frak, but sooooo worth it. I thought this was quite a good movie, but Benedict Cumberbatch ffs  Proud.....easily the best performance anywhere in the movie.

The dialogue and banter in this movie in general was off the charts of awesomeness. Every single major ( and even minor) character had something memorable to say that made me LOL. Great writing.

I'm actually pretty excited for Pacific Rim. Sounded cheesey and overly ambitious to the point I figured it would be a train wreck, but after seeing the trailers, the little boy inside of me is screaming at me to see it.

Playing through Max Payne 3's Brazil setting in the Favela's had me watching Elite Squad earlier, I'd heard of it a few years back, saying it was Brazil's best since City of Gods, and it was definitely a good watch.

Also saw Arnold's comeback as a main..The Last Stand.

Oldboy
A 2003 South Korean film. Oldboy is about a man who is imprisoned for 15 years, and when he is released he finds out he must find the man who held him imprisoned within 5 days. He learns who this man is, and why he kidnapped him. A truly suspenseful film that'll keep you on the edge of your seat, with a slight surprising twist at the end. A must watch!
My rating: 7.8/10

Oh and I just read that Spike Lee is doing a remake on Oldboy... He is just going to feck it up.
