Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
yh i can understand why. Their center of gravity isnt as small as messi for sure. Both will be more efficient than ronaldo in small spaces, specially neymar, an he is very fast as well, so he can eat up space. interesting blend.

Yeh I think Neymar should move to club like Atletico and then build himself up like Aguero did for a few years.

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
Neymar is a bad player via the rule of cold night in stoke.
But really, he should go to the EPL for a bit to bulk up and improve his game, but he will get pulverised there. Id hate to think what said night in stoke would do to his spindly legs. Like I said, we could always buy him if he turns out to be the next Messi and we need a guy in that position. Galacticos ftw!

lol, what an idea. he can use a ACM, but not pastore, better someone that can drive the ball in small spaces.

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
I'm finding that even without any futbol games nor signings, I just can't stay away (for long). In any event, I want to offer my opinion on all the rumours about whose going and who is coming.
Aquero - I believe this is happening, although it won't be announced (nor agreed upon) until end of July. There has been too much talk, mostly from Aquero himself for this not to be happening.
Benzema - despite a survey recently saying fans wanted Aquero plus Higgy and Benz, it won't work. Even with 2 of them, there will be most times with one on bench. Benz leaving makes much more sense than Higgy as has been documented here many times.
Adebayor - His price is now reasonable for a dependable 3rd striker. The timing will be after his current contract expires which I think is late June.
Neymar - a couple of news stories today where he said he can stay with Santos and another said if Madrid does sign him they will loan him back to Santos for 1 or 2 years. This may be possible only because Madrid gets him for a lower price. However, given the age of Higgy and Aquero (or Di Maria), I don't see a place for him even in 2 years.
Araujo - looks like Barcelona is going to sign him and send him to their B team, even though Madrid has right of first offer. Feeling probably is that Neymar is likely a better player and they won't sign both.
Pastore - this is just another good player that wants to go to Madrid, but there is no room for him.
Cesc Fabregas - just a dream. He either goes to Barcelona (I say si) or he stays at Arsenal for another year.
Canales - Apparently the discussion with Villareal broke off yesterday. Madrid asked Villareal or Valencia to pay too much for his services on a buy back deal. He has refused to go to Germany (2 clubs were prepared to pay what Madrid was asking). So right now unless Madrid lowers their asking price, this is up in air. I suspect next will be talk of a loan deal with the best option being Villareal. I don't see any way that he spends next year at Madrid and I also can’t see them out right selling him.
Leon, Garay - both are up for sale but nothing concrete yet, but they willnot be back for next year.
Lass - He will leave if he gets an offer from EPL (the 4 or 5 bigger clubs) with his salary demands and a better shot at more starting time. I agree with Nick by the way that Altintop is likely his replacement and that no DM specialist will be signed if Lass does go. Plus there is at least 3 defenders than can play as a DM when needed.
Kaka – I think he is staying. Mourinho only cares about winning each and every game. He likes internal competition and doesn’t care if regular starters sit on bench.
New CB - don't think this is going to happen. I think we have underestimated Mourinho’s confidence in Caravaho. I think he feels he already has his successor in Ramos and that he can gradually reduce his playing time and increase Ramos’ time at CB.
Coentrao – I think this is happening. It’s a story that doesn’t go away. It appears as if he will be primarily used as a RB, with Ramos at CB, but he will also spell off Marcelo at LB. Much like the front line, the back line will often contain Marcelo, Coentrao and Ramos. Arbeloa will be the unfortunate loser in all of this as his playing time will be reduced.
Maicon – I don’t this will happen as his salary demands which we too large last year, likely are the same again and the asking price, Kaka or money, is too excessive. All that said however I don’t agree with the comments that he is finished. You don’t go from being best in world to being finished at age 28. This move would make more sense than Coentrao if it wasn’t for the transfer / salary prices.
Castilla Players – I don’t think any (including Mateos) will make club next year. Likely only Morata and Mateos will have a shot. Sarabia is likely sold with buyback or lent out. Morata likely as well, however they will likely wait to see how he does at training camp before making his deal, likely with Getafe. Players like Mejias and Nacho will get practice time and occasional call-up.
Overall Conclusion – we end up with 22 players (23 if Lass stays). The club is improved in depth and passing / offensive capabilities. I have 2 reservations about team for next year. I’m very sceptical about the left foot at RB, it’s an experiment and I’m a little worried about team chemistry with regular starters being forced to sit on bench. Mourinho has to do more rotation and give all players more meaningful time than he was willing to do last year. If we look at Barcelona and Selecciones as examples, he needs to give all players enough time to feel important to team and you can’t expect to put a “B” team out and have them look as good as “A” team. Secret is to incorporate a maximum 3 to 5 (at a time) into “A” team without a drop in play level.
Aquero - I believe this is happening, although it won't be announced (nor agreed upon) until end of July. There has been too much talk, mostly from Aquero himself for this not to be happening.

No he's not. They released him from loan deal, but now that City have lowered asking price, a deal is likely. With Aquero and Higuain, the 3rd striker won't get a lot of action unless there are injuries. Mou insist on a 3rd (seasoned) striker, so this deal is very likely.

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
There seems to be a lot of speculation in this forum about who else is coming. Keep in mind this is the silly season where the papers have a lot of imagination (to put it mildly). I say the reality is we already know the line-up for next year. There are no surprises, just getting a couple of deals negotiated and completed.

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
No because there is a set price in his contract to exercice the buying option. The idea is to release him and get City to sell him to us at a rebate price.

Again no, They are waiting for his current deal to run out, which is towards end of June. Keep in mind that madrid is in drivers seat in all 3 deals (Coentrao, Aquero and Ade). There waiting for responses either from player or other club.

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
fair enough guys...it makes perfect sense now
id rather we get him than get aguero only to give him as much cash as kaka, as if he deserves it
keep in mind that higgy is argentinas first striker and only gets 5 with us

Messi is argentina first striker. There is no way Higuain gets into the first eleven with the tactic they are playing atm
