Lucas Moura?
http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/united-target-plays-down-inter-link?state=fa919988044744998df64585e70f28dd
has been popping up a lot on my facebook. If this is true, it seems like SAF will not be looking for a DM/LB anytime soon

Re: Lucas Moura?
You ain't getting Tiote mate..... 1. SAF refuses to buy players involved in AFCON 2. You wont pay the price we want and quite frankly you shouldn't.
20m is a joke lol.

Re: Lucas Moura?
if that's true, he's willing to spend another 30 mil for a creative force? Im guessing that he is sick of seeing other top teams trying to dominating the midfield against MU last year, while playing high pressing :/

Re: Lucas Moura?
I don't know how I feel about this tbh. On one hand, he is touted as the next ronaldinho, messi blah blah, so it is nice to be linked to someone with those supposed abilities and potential. On the other hand, I want us to just go out and spend 30 mill or so on an established ready made mf who will instantly boost our sqaud, rather than on a youngster in which we will have to be patient with.
I'm not gonna judge this kid solely on his YT vids btw.

Re: Lucas Moura?
Watched a few Brazil International matches, honestly didn't see anything special in this kid. Maybe he'll prove me wrong in the Olympics. SAF seriously need to go out and sign a proper midfielder or two. How long does he intend to delay it?!!

A lot of sources are reporting this, but 30m for a 19 year old is simply too much to believe.

And how do you know this? We are being heavily linked with him, that's why we're discussing it.

well,looks like i was wrong :I'munoriginal:
"I can say that we have not yet received any official offer from Inter for Lucas, nor have we received any information about any proposal from them," he told FCInternews.it.
"With regards to the offers from Manchester United and Real Madrid, we are studying them internally. We cannot say anything else for obvious reasons.

Re: Lucas Moura?
Always that club being linked to players we are linked with.
But yeah, this link is legit now. I wouldn't be surprised if he is United's last signing. Maybe Baines too.

Re: Lucas Moura?
Lucas is a talented individual, but moving so early on in his career to a physically demanding league will have more negatives than positives, in my opinion. On top of that, he's not a player I'd be keen spending £30+ million on - he hasn't exactly developed into a world class option, or a useful asset for us, just yet. When he plays, he is full of explosiveness, but he is raw and most of the time his head is glued to the ground. More learning in Brazil, and then moving to Europe would be more ideal. Plus, we don't need another attacker - it's not a position we're lacking in.

Re: Lucas Moura?
My opinion on Lucas Moura - well, first and foremost, we don't need another attacker at Manchester United. Lucas is an explosive talent, with the potential to become a world class player, however, there's no way to justify paying £30+ million for a player we aren't in desperate need of.
The positive, if you want to look at it from this perspective, is that Lucas is a rising talent and has made incredible strides towards making it to the top, over the last year. He has electrifying pace, can easily beat his man one-on-one, and is explosive to watch (at times). His low center of gravity makes it much easier for him to drift away from opponents. The two major flaws are: poor work ethic and terrible decision making. He's not disciplined enough to be considered a potential starter, though with time that will improve. Finally, since his eyes are glued to the ball most of the time - he fails to make the right pass.
If signed, this would be the most exciting young player transfer since Ronaldo.

In short, another C. Ronaldo clone.
This rumor is BS. 30 million for him? F*cking inflated market. I'd rather have Modric.
