8 ) There are virtually no more free kick goals (related to point 2)

7 ) Everyone but Spain and Barcelona copies the kick and rush Premier League

6 ) 99% of players are media trained = BORING

5 ) Teams like Inter don't have a single player from their own country

3 ) Cradle-snatching

Players have been leaving their clubs for Reals and Milans money for years.

Except that it's the opposite of true, nobody plays kick and rush these days. Arsenal, Bayern, Real, Barca, Milan, Juve, Dortmund, BMG, Schalke - they all got a decent passing game. If anything people try to copy Barca, even though they don't necessarily succeed.

True, but got nothing to do with football, also the 1% that aren't still are entertaining. Just interview Balotelli and Podolski more and shut up.

That's shameful, but clubs like Inter, Milan, Real, Chelsea and ManU have been buying foreign players by the metric shit-ton for years.

So what, players like Andi Möller or Materazzi won the World Cup, it's not like that wasn't worse and football was still great.

I don't really think it makes a huge difference at which age the richest 5 or 6 clubs buy all the talent.

That kind of sucks on a nostalgic level, but besides the Jabulani at South American high altitudes, plastic balls never seemed to be much of a negative influence.

So what, they bought their success same that Chelsea and ManU did, this would have been upsetting maybe 30 years ago when English clubs still had English players as their best players.

I think most of those are stupid except for #10 and #1

#10 because there's hardly loyalty or pride/heart left in the game anymore, because it's all about $$$ for most players.

#1 because enough money can make any club the 'biggest' club

so in short, extreme wealth imbalance is what's killing football, similar to what's killing the USA.

I get the feeling people want to disagree just to disagree, what he said about the freekicks, the footballs and cradle snatching it very true and actually damages the game.

Some of the others arent bad enough for us to say "football is dead" but they are negative things about the game.

Technicians like Pirlo, Del Peiro seem to have dropped right off. Pirlo has scored like 2 in the past 5 years it seems.

Plastic balls (especially like the jubalini) changes the game. It doesnt exactly ruin it, but it makes things more difficult for some and easier for others.

So, in the past, the game was easier for some and more difficult for others due to leather footballs? How is one any better/worse than the other? The only thing plastic footballs due (and they're generally not actual plastic, really) is ensure that the ball(s) used in every match is more similar to those used in other matches. The change in material ensures more uniformity of equipment, meaning that on any given day a game is less likely to be influenced by a defect in the ball and more likely to be influenced by the players on the pitch. I fail to see how that's bad for the sport.
