Eisfeld was the only one with a chance of going to the Tour tbh. This means Either Aneke is injured or he will be on the Tour. Along with Afobe

That'd be so great for swedish football if it happened, fingers crossed he can cut in perhaps 1 or 2 years as a sub and one who plays in the domestic cups

Re: Pre-season 2012-13 Thread
If they aren't fit then we may as well leave them behind. Imagine if they went on the tour and they ended up getting injured and missing the start of the season? We'd all be furious.
And of course the official reason for not taking van Persie would be fitness. The club will never admit they're leaving him behind so we can sell him.
I think we may see Walcott get some time through the middle, seeing as how Chamakh and Afobe are the only two strikers in the squad, and I'm interested in seeing Eisfeld.
Also, Diaby! No long ten days away.

I'm of the belief that taking Walcott to preseason with only 2 other strikers has to do with the contract talks. Walcott has always maintained that he wants to play as a striker, so I'm guessing that he wants to be assured of getting a chance to shine there, and Wenger will give him that chance in pre-season.

The Six Gunners in Asia
Santos, crossing the globe to Asia - Still in search of pal, Yossi Benayoun
Which one of you's got my 100,000 per week?
Because bamboo cannons are always a great idea
Here, catch my loyalty!
The six Gunners awkwardly skirting the question posed by a frail coughing six year old asking for his hero 'Robin van Mercenary'

Has anyone else noticed that Benik Afobe has the number 18 on his training kit?
That's a first team squad number.

I can see it now...
Podolski to Gervinho, goalkeeper to beat...wide
Walcott rounds the keeper, square to Gervinho for the tap in...and misses
