It's the best I have watched. But I'm rather young and I did not watch Pele's Brazil winning 3 out of 4 World Cups. They're probably the best ever, but Spain (and Germany 70-80) are up there as well.

In terms of just Europe, it's really debatable now, but Germany probably still edges it simply because they've won more WCs.

Pure footballing ability wise however, Spain are a step above even the best sides from the 70s and 80s.

I would take Brazil of 02 and Italy of 06 over this team. This Spain squad are the best since 06, thats it. Theyre great, but not even close to the best of all time. Hell, Spain was arguably even stronger in 08, yet an aged Italy took them all the way to PKs. They are great though, not meaning to take anythng away from them, but Italy beat themsleves tonight wuth the way we played, and Spain is not even close to the bestp of all time.

Xavi and Iniesta have already surpassed Zidane btw and have done it a long time ago. So has Pirlo.

But....

I love Brazil 1982 more than you know....but....that defense was just a disaster.

They didn't deserve to stand 30 feet away from Zico,Socrates and Falcao.

The defense was pathetic, but Brazil 1982 was so good they made it work. Italy only managed to beat them by unleashing Gentile on Zico and relying on the blind ref.

Free flowing, free scoring, undoubtedly the best team to not win a tournament, and leagues away from this Spanish team.

You think Iniesta and Xavi can pass? You haven't seen Brazil 1982.

This Spanish team is WC and one of the best of the 21st century, but they still haven't come close to the teams I've listed.
