Pirlo broke the english defense numerous times actually. It was the poor finishing up front along with wasted chances that made his chances go in vain.

And I can assure you although Pirlo didn't kill england, he definitely outclassed and dominated them.

something is wrong with your Tv then , what i saw was 15 attempt on target and two against the woodwork , Our strikers were poor but Pirlo was amazing + i dont care about Barcelona but since you mentioned it they do play posession cattenacio+Total football =Tiki-taka , but thats not related .

Actually spontaneity made me chuckle. Its amazing under all that pressure Pirlo outclassed a world class Joe Hart with a chip in a vital moment yet was read by the washed up Pinto when he tried the same thing.

(Although Pirlo didn't execute his chip properly here)

. He had a game game hoowever the spotkick was risky. Classy but risky. If that didn't go through, Italy could have lost the game and we may be talking about something different

Pirlo will be third in the Ballon d'Or. He eclipsed Xavi and Iniesta last season, and has maintained a great level of consistency.
