So we got Constant.........
Anyone have any opinion on this transfer? He is a good player, not anywhere near a superstar. I think he will be used mostly as a sub, if not used at all. I rate him higher than Flamini, but not by much.

Re: So we got Constant.........
We pretty much said the same stuff about Boateng too ...and look where he is today. We can't tell exactly , with Konstant being totaly new to Milan ways..
I believe Allegri will use him often , since he's combative , runs a hell lot and has a good touch on the ball , from what i recall at least..

I'm willing to give him a chance to show what he can do. Prince and Nocerino both did better than first expected when we brought them in hopefully Constant does the same thing

Re: So we got Constant.........
why are we always stupid enough to get only players with workrate and strength and not quality and creativity????
we lost pirlo, and we have waved seedorf goodbye.... to me allegri aint a guy who likes creativity and technique... that sucks!!!
i wont be surprised that it will show again that the team will be massively suffering from creating chances, and showing quality and creativity... it will be all physical.
like i said, this team is so like inter of 2006-2008... just built around physical presence and less quality...

I hope he proves most of us wrong and becomes a big hit, we have actually been monitoring him for more than two seasons now. Let's see if he has what it takes to be great in a club like Milan.

Re: So we got Constant.........
CONSTANT was bought to cover for MUNTARI after he got injured, FLAMINI will almost certainly leave, AQUILANI has not been spoken to yet, ACERBI to do medicals soon.
Comments from Galliani...
Mathieu Flamini looks set to leave AC Milan this summer, according to vice president Adriano Galliani.
The Frenchman joined the Rossoneri in 2008 following a successful four-year spell at Arsenal, but sat out the majority of last season with a serious knee injury, and that looks to have been a deciding factor in the club's plans.
"His time is up because too much time has passed," Galliani said during an interview in Milan.
"We spoke to his agent and said that we don't expect anything else from the player. By the end of August another midfielder will arrive, which could be [Alberto] Aquilani or someone else.
"We haven't spoken yet to Aquilani. He's a Liverpool player."
Galliani also spoke about the proposed transfers of Genoa duo Francesco Acerbi and Kevin Constant.
"Until we do the medicals we're not saying anything, but [Acerbi] seems healthy," he hinted.
"I think he's a fantastic centre-back with plenty of room for growth which he'll get at Milan. His willingness to come to Milan made the difference.
"[Constant] was snapped up quickly thanks to [Genoa president Enrico] Preziosi, which was very nice. He's a player we wanted last year, and we agreed with the coach [Massimiliano Allegri] when we decided to buy him after learning about [Sulley] Muntari's injury."
The Ghanaian midfielder tore his anterior cruciate ligament and is expected to be out for six months.
"Muntari had a brutal injury. I've never seen such a bad one happen during the summer break," Galliani concluded.
What do we get out of all of this:
Genoa confirms it's status as our feeder club
No Flamini
Aqua will stay or another midfielder will arrive...
- If Aqua stays
- If a better midfielder comes (i.e. Strootman, Sahin)
- If a worse midfielder comes
Constant was bought in to cover for Muntari, not as that promised midfielder
The Acerbi deal is pretty much done.

Wasn't Constant one of the most promising players in Serie A 2 years ago?

The good news is that Constant and Acerbi are only 25 and 24 yrs old respectively.

Im glad we bought him ,he certainly has the potential. He has the speed and the technique ,but lets see if he has the mentality to adapt.

Re: So we got Constant.........
I love how there is so little outrage by this signing. It's nothing out of the norm these days.
And I know we aren't singing great players but I don't think I'm bring unrealistic when I say I think we should go for Sahin
I think it is a very possible move that could materialize (trust Galliani to make it difficult with a $100 salary and $150 buyout spreading across 3 payments over 3 years)
