We are talking about 11 year old kids. They are nowhere near professionals and can decide wherever they want to play. They'll probably end up being nothing anyway.

Somehow a 11 year old has now become more equipped to make this type of decision than a 16 year old.

It's not obviously if he's more equipped or not, at that age the decision is taken by their parents, obviously. It's about that a 11 year old can't be legally binded to any kind of labour agreement, thus he is free to come and go as he wants from one team to another (as long as their parents agree).

Yes, good for him (and us!).
However, the point is that players at that age are free to come and go. We sign players from other teams, Valencia does too all the time. There's no ethical problem here. The ethical problem would exist if the signing club had to pay a compensation and didn't do it.

This thread is actually so stupid its not funny... All young footballers come from somewhere before joining a big club. That they came from a club like Valencia doesn't matter... its still juniors, they can do what they want.

yea, young footballers come from "somewhere" when they used to play for crappy local teams and progress to bigger clubs, not when their new club takes them from another big club with an established academy... thank god for all the players you save from languishing in the same system that produced eg david silva, what a waste of time that would be
