He has no space at Man Utd unless 442 goes away.
But Manchester United played a 4-2-3-1 formation for more than a year.Tomwin Lannister wrote:United will never play a 4-2-3-1/4-3-1-2 type of formation. Not in the forseeable future.
Kagawa is doomed tbh, needs to re-establish himself somewhere else. How old is he?
Don't worry for Kagawa, he is in safe hands.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
shanji kagawa needs to get his head down in training and begin to work harder to get into the team, he can not just expect to walk in and take the place of cleverly or giggs.
The only other option for him would be for him to ask for a request otherwise he will end up rotting in the reserves

Could be the next Sahin lol..talented player that couldnt cut it outside the GOArTmund.
Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
because he looks uninterested and lazy when he plays, United are a team build on work ethic and will not carry people who are not pulling their weight in the same direction

Noooo
Fergie signs, Fergie tries to convert to a Defensive mid.
Conversion fails, player is ostricized. See Fat Anderson

Tom's a great poster and Kagawa's a great player, the former should be posting and the latter should be playing. Not that I mind as long as United waste this resource of theirs.

Only just seen that from DJ
Half of your posts are just following me around and picking holes in my posts.
And most of those posts are intended for jokes anyway. Such as my posts on Tottenham.
So you need to sort your *bleep* life out and stop following me around the forums. Perhaps you'd like to add to a discussion once in a while instead of using your single digit I.Q to try and attack me despite being the biggest laughing stock of the entire Juventus section.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
Oh as for the topic, before I forget.
I'll trust your judgement Vladdy being a Utd fan and all, but whenever I watched them since Kagawas arrival it looked much more like a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 to me with Rooney playing deeper in a CF role.
So i'll put it this way, even if United have shaped up in a 4-2-3-1 formation it's definitely deploying a CF and not a more withdrawn player as a CAM (Such as Kagawa)
And I can't see that changing.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
Well, it depends on the game. Man United also plays a 4-4-1-1 sometimes, I can't disagree; however, the most used formation in the last year is 4-2-3-1 with Rooney playing the CAM role. Kagawa played as a LAM. Valencia/Welbeck/Nani and even Young played the RAM role.
We usually use 4-2-3-1 when we want to play more offensive and 4-4-1-1 (4-4-2) when we need our lateral midfielders to help the fullbacks against the opponent wingers.
So you are partially right, we used 4-4-1-1 in some games, yet 4-2-3-1 is our base formation.
Kagawa isn't ostracized. He gets to play when we use 4-2-3-1 due to the fact that his defensive contribution is lower than it is needed. So, it happens that Kagawa isn't in form and Welbeck/Young are in form and they must play, or it happens that we don't play 4-2-3-1 and Kagawa playing in the 4-4-1 formation could be risky against tricky sides.
I can assure everybody that Kagawa is happy at Man United (I have reliable sources) and he will get enough time to prove that his accusers are wrong.

Fergie signing top Asian players for that money in the Asian market. People actually think SAF bought Kagawa to play ahead of Rooney

Dont agree. Not when they are churning out senior citizen Giggs.Mr Nick09 wrote:Let's just say it how it is, Kagawa is not good enough for man utd.
This wouldnt be the first time a perfectly good player isnt getting the run his talent deserves.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
He is paying his lack of versatility at the end of the day. he is a CAM/SS and not much else. He struggles when played out wide and cant put up the amount of work rate needed in big games in that position.
It's not that he is a bad player, it's just that he doesnt have what it takes become n1 at his role there. Not easy, not many would literally force Rooney out of position.

And whats Giggs at this point? He doesnt play any role well.
Big games, sure...but they played Cardiff and Swansea as the first two games. None of those games Rooney played.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
They don't have a place for him AND Roonay and that's that
Can't have a ST, CF AND a central CAM.
He's definitely good enough considering the various above average midfielders that have had a run out in the United shirt
ffs even Jones gets played at CDM every now and then. It's not about talent it's just where he plays and who'd have to be dropped to accomodate him.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
I have a feeling that Kagawa will be at the highest level in a few months as a left attacking midfielder/left winger .
But, like Dani said, this can only happen if Moyes stops playing Giggs so much .

i am talking in absolute value, i dont know what kind of form Kagawa carries at the moment with respect to the other player. The Franchise wrote:And whats Giggs at this point? He doesnt play any role well.

that being said, Moyes running around all summer looking for a Spanish based AM is probably proof that Moyes doesnt rate him that much

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
Again why are they even going after an AM now that Roonay is staying.
Short of playing a 4-4-2 diamond with just carrick holding the MF, they can't play RVP, Roo and a CAM.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
Nobody's going for an attacking midfielder Tom. Only rumours. We need a box to box midfielder like Vidal, Schweinsteiger, Cabaye, De Rossi, Sven Bender, Marchisio or...Fellaini (not the best example in this case, but still honorable) .

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
Fellaini is pretty average playing in a CM role.
United would be better off not buying anybody then.
Cabaye is a realistic option, and probably available for £25M which is nothing really especially when a big club like United hasn't really spent anything.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
I would be surprised if Kagawa has any sort of form at the moment...hardly a surprise though as he dont play.
And yeah, maybe Moyes dont rate him...thats only a reflection on Moyes though, not Kagawa.
