Kinect is still in development, game makers haven't used it's full potential, if you go look and what Hackers and Uni's are doing with it, you would be amazed at what it could do.







Kinect is less for gaming but more for the Home entertainment system that Microsoft is turning Xbox and Win 8 into

Kinect is a platform to make this



- btw i am hoping to do something with the Kinect as my final project for my Computer Engineering degree

Yeah all good points but as a gamer it was an awful presentation lol so was Nintendo's.... Sony's was'nt all that either God of War and Last of Us aside.

Ubisoft's presentation was easily the most impressive to me.

Tomb Raider is the most impressive to me so far, although it was'nt shown iam eagerly anticapating what i have seen of the new Hitman too.

I know Kinects potential , Legend .

That's why I'd rather wait for Kinnect 2 when the next gen xbox comes out ... right now its not worth the money .

i would say the best development will come to Kinect when Windows 8 comes out

Windows 8 is going to be compatible with Kinect, so paying that 150 for something that you can use for both PC and Xbox use aint bad

and sweet idea Legend on the Kinect stuff, I am still 3 years from my degree just doing development on coop atm. I have the SDK, been just trying a few things in dev, nothing special really.

but i am looking more into advanced voice recognition technology.

They showed at least 4 exclusives at their show lol, plus i dont know if your aware of this but theres a thing called third party titles.....

The funny thing is most of games people play on here are not even exclusives

i am 2-3 years from my degree too, hopefully by then kinect would have had a bit more support.

I know a few people who had ideas for kinect use in their final project, but they didn't have the time or resources to do it

Anyway was really disappointed with Nintendo's conference but gotta say AC3 looks absolutely fantastic on it..... ( havent seen 360 and PS3 in this level to compare though)
