Re: Brendan Rodgers new Liverpool manager
Mole I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem with Gerrard, meanwhile Adam I won't even comment on.

Re: Brendan Rodgers new Liverpool manager
Gerrard was kept in the loop, according to the Telegraph, so no problem there. He has also apparently already spoken with Rodgers at length over the phone. Moreover, Gerrard was far more restrained this season, often taking up a deeper role and distributing. So I really don't see this being a huge issue.
Adam... I can see Adam leaving, honestly. I don't think he fits into Rodgers vision of the two more advanced midfield positions, and he certainly doesn't fit in as the CDM. We saw how he reacted to a more restricted role this season, and it wasn't usually pretty. I can see Jordan Henderson and even Aquilani (if he stays) getting starts over him.
Carroll will be another interesting case to see how/if he fits into Rodger's system. In the last few months, he's looked perfectly capable of playing the #9 role. Prior to that, it wouldn't have been likely. Suarez most likely slots into one of the wide forward positions with a new signing at the other (Hoilett or Afellay would certainly fit the bill).

i think Aquilani will stay now, and Rodgers could make him key in the middle for liverpool

Henderson, I think, could thrive under Rodgers. His movement and passing in attack and harrying/pressing in defense seem to fit Rodgers' preferred type of midfielder and Brendan seems like he could get Henderson's confidence up.

You don't have to, everything he said pretty much seemed accurate.
The meeting in Miami, that they approached Rodgers, that Martinez would only take the job if he could be in control.
So maybe you should ease off next time before calling someone foolish or ignorant.
(BTW Even Alf won't be able to get Pool to 4th sadly )
Well he should be renowned for giving reliable information from now on then.
Ignorance is bliss but it's folly to be wise (or in this case pretend to be)
Whelan, though, has stressed that he never claimed Martinez had been offered the job.
He told ESPN: "I cannot help it if some people misinterpreted what I said, which was that Liverpool wanted our manager - which they did as they asked permission to speak with him, and talked to him on a number of occasions."
Oops.

Re: Brendan Rodgers new Liverpool manager
And just to end things, Whelan is indeed talking shite again, just as he did when making the claim about Martinez being made an offer.
"I have just spoken to Roberto," Whelan told Sky Sports News on Friday. "He went yesterday to Miami and had a very constructive meeting with the owner of Liverpool.
"They're going to talk again on Tuesday. They've made Roberto an offer and he has agreed to consider it."
