Schürrle just totally blasted a shot from just outside the box, across the keeper, into the top left corner. Great goal.

Everything else was meh, though.

Easy game for France against Serbia. Took a 2-0 in less than 20 mins and dominated first half. Could have been 5-0. Then shut it down defensively in second.

Never in danger. Not one great opportunity for Serbia to score. Total control.

M'Villa was injured but returned to the bench in second half without crutches. Not really concerned since Mavuba and Capoue actually played better than him this year. One of them can easily replace him. Diarra played well in his absence.

Cabaye was fantastic. Clichy won the LB job imo. Koscielny was great. Ribery was in complete beast mode... haven't seen it for France since 2006. We are playing roaming forwards (keep switching up), which fits them perfectly. All 4 of our attacking players can play anywhere across the field.

Our form is peaking at the right time.

Blanc needs to bench Evra, so we dont talk about him.

He needs to bench one of Mexes or Rami, i dont really care who, but it's unacceptable that he is on the bench for those two.

Greatly enjoyed watching France before all the changes (which is understandable) the front 4 just constantly roaming and swapping positions was great to watch.

I really do hope Clichy won the LB job as Evra is so awful although it wont happen i would like to see Blanc go with Debuchy-Rami-Kos-Clichy..

My only concern ( a personal one) is Ben Arfa didnt do much when he came on not really all his fault as the game was dead when he came on and didnt get the ball much but he's in the position where he needs to impress so no excuses.

Reckon Menez might be ahead of him atm.

Rami-Mexes are the starters because they've played 10 games together and have only conceded 4 goals (2 in last game). There's no way you change a successful CB partnership unless there's a reason to. There's no reason to here. A CB partnership needs a lot of games to get its chemistry... It's not just about duels.

If M'Villa can't play against England and Diarra starts, Blanc will most certainly go with Clichy. Diarra is like a 3rd CB out there. We need the best attacking fullbacks that we have.

Again, very impressed with Cabaye and Ribery in this one.
