He's got a lot of potential, calling him a "scrub" when he's just 18 or 19 is extremely naive.

Re: Romelu Lukaku blasts AVB
Classy from him to refuse touching the cup because he feels he doesn't deserve it. Now that's what I call being humble and respectful.
As for his quips about AVB. He's been rather petulant, but AVB proved he's not a natural man manager so I can't say I'm surprised that yet another player has come out swinging at him.

I don't understand why Chelsea didn't loan Lukaku out at the start of the season. He was never going to get much playing time in striker's role with Drogba and Torres there. Of course there were going to be some problems if and when he stayed there. A wasted year for Lukaku.

You can't be registered with three clubs within a calendar year, I think.Art Morte wrote:I don't understand why Chelsea didn't loan Lukaku out at the start of the season. Re: Romelu Lukaku blasts AVB
Just my opinion.. AVB is a very good manager. But he failed due to the inability to control the dressing room, its not a case of him being tactically bad or anything else. This was mainly due to one reason, the Chelsea squad has been together for some time and to break them apart would mean to break the squad into pieces.. which is exactly what happened.
Re: Romelu Lukaku blasts AVB
AVB age was always going to be a problem for chelsea tbh.

Re: Romelu Lukaku blasts AVB
So Lukaku, Kalou, and even Bertrand got a look in under RDM, but what about Sturridge? What happened to him. Looked to be the next big English striker last year. Returned to Chelsea this season and looked dangerous on the right wing all season until RDM came in. Then, he couldn't buy an appearance. He already seemed disgruntled at not getting a central role. So, what's the word on him?

Glad he is benched he needs to learn that there are teammates around him.
Clearly talented but way too selfish to start for Chelsea.

Re: Romelu Lukaku blasts AVB
it'll be interesting to see how the striker situation plays out at chelsea next season with drogba apparently leaving. Torres rumored to want out, and sturridge, and lukaku, need to be worked into the fold....

i know that. but there's been rumors that he's upset with his role in the team. it'll just be interesting to see how it'll affect the situation next season. Also forgot whether or not RDM will be back, because that will obviously be a factor

Re: Romelu Lukaku blasts AVB
Well I don't see why he'd be upset now.. Unless they spend big on another striker, who else are they going to play? He should be the feature on the team. He's chelsea's guy now.. I'd be furious at the end of the day if I was left out of the starting line up as well especially because of all the improvement he has shown.. But at the end of the day they won the game so RDM made the right decision and he shouldn't be complaining.lenear1030 wrote:Barrettinator wrote:LOL Torres isn't going.lenear1030 wrote:it'll be interesting to see how the striker situation plays out at chelsea next season with drogba apparently leaving. They just REALLY need to improve that midfield to help supply him which has been a massive problem since he got here. While thats not entirely excusing his form since arrival, the progress hes shown should be taken next level once they get him a solid midfield.
I think his response was just a heat of the moment disappointment that he wasn't more involved in the CL final. which is understandable. But after Euro's Im sure hell realize hes the guy at Chelsea now they need to succeed and should be starting all the big matches.

Nameless wrote:Thats what I have thought for a year now but Chelsea fans can be so ignorant at times.Mr Nick09 wrote:Hasnt Torres done enough to prove that he cant be the feature of the team?
its hardly ignorant. Whats ignorant is throwing even more money at a position on a team you've already heavily invested in when you haven't even addressed the teams real problem which is the midfields complete lack of playmaking ability and its inability to maintain possession and consistently make passes without frequently turning it over.
Ever wonder WHY chelsea had to play like a parked bus against all those CL teams? because they didn't have a choice.. There is no way they could compete in a possession and playmaking game against those teams with the squad they had. And it had nothing to do with their striking situation. RDM did a smart thing and came up with a formation that used the teams strengths and put them in the best position to win. While it worked for the time, that is not an ideal strategy going forward and even RDM knows this. They have to get better playmakers, that is priority number 1.
and honestly I don't care what Torres form was before or under AVB. Everyone on the team was terrible with him in charge. Look at David Luiz, he went from being a complete disaster to being totally world class.. and the opertunities that RDM gave torres he played really well and thats just how it is. He chose drogba generally because the highly defensive formation they were forced to play in favored Drogbas skill set over torres.. So if they are able to really improve the midfield, torres should be able to take the form improvement he has shown to the next level.

I can get why you'd think I'd like Man U because of Eric Cantona in my sig.. But I don't, I am an MLS fan and I live in New York, and I made that sig when Cantona was headlining the return of the NY Cosmos, and I got really excited about that, especially because of how hilarious all his interviews about it were.. but that fell apart and I never bothered Changing my sig
though Im not sure where you got madrid from.. Im a chelsea fan
