I can honestly see the Netherlands not making it out of the group. One off day and they could be in trouble, given the other sides in the group.

Good point , though with so much quality they have in the squad , they can damage any team in the group , even during an off day .

Spain and Germany, because EVERYONE expects them to win the whole thing.
Especially Germany.

Considering that Germany and Spain will meet each other in the semi-finals, and especially for Germany, anything less than the final means failure, either one of them will fail.

I expect an unsympathetic outsider like Italy, France or the Netherlands to win the whole thing.

Spain has too much talent to fail, they might not win it but they will get far.The germans have been chockers lately so wount think they will win it.Italy stand a good chance as their defensive players and goalkeeper are on form and will probably just need to park the bus the whole tournament.
Portugal and England will most definately fail.

England is the easy choice for failure. Pretty much a certainty. Winning this thing is going to be between Germany, Spain and France.

Actually, if you listen to Löw and the players, right now everything other than winning would be considered a failure, so the chance for Germany to fail is quite possible Very Happy

Portugal will do good imo.

Spain are at risk if certain players don't show up.

France, Italy and Germany are likely to do great.

Holland, they always do well in group stages, but choke later, so that wouldnt be fail

France is going to do well i think, as Italy.

The potential for Portugal to choke is huge, they have no midfield and no decent finisher. 30M man Coentrao wont save them.

England will do relatively well i feel.

Spain, well, still going to the semis at least

Germany would only choke in finals

My vote is for Portugal

The expectations for Portugal are not that high though. For them to fail they would have to get destroyed by Germany and Holland and I don't think that will happen.

Even then most will tell you Germany and Holland are favourites to get out of the group so if Portugal make it they would have succeeded lol

But they have Ronaldo in their team, the outside perception is simply that they HAVE to do well, 2nd best player in the world and all. That's why there is a lot of spotlight on them regardless of the fact that their NT isnt very good.

Anyone who makes it out of pool has a chance. Everyone can flop in the pool.

This isn't the WC where there is massive gaps between teams until the elimination rounds usually. Other than Ukraine, i think everyone is competitive. It''ll come down to form, injuries and luck.

The Euro is the most fiercely competitive NT competition out there.
