Re: La Masia
This is what he said on his press conference. I know google translate sucks. Seems Barca had given him the same promises as we gave CasemiroThe Franchise wrote:Promised to play for the first team? lol
I somehow doubt that.

Did not mind or debase the record or anything. But then I started playing pretty in the branch and then I told little me. Last year I had to play in the first team, and did not call me or to play a round of Copa del Rey, nor did I go to first team training. "

Re: La Masia
I think I get the gist of it.
I dont know why the guy is complaining so much.
During his time, he didnt have a word to say about bad treatment..didnt hear anything at all.
And he was awful on the pitch, so expecting to go to the first team after not even deserving to start for B...just makes no sense.
I will just say good luck in Madrid, because luck is the only thing which can help him now if he plays like he has done.

Re: La Masia
Five best goals of this first week from our La Masia teams.
First goal (5) is Ferran Sarsanedas, who is from a town next to mine. Watch out for Iker Merino, the dude who scores the last goal (1), this guy is a machine.
And here, the 100 best goals from last season:

Re: La Masia
Five best goals of the week. The number one is created by Adama Traore. Barça Juvenil won vs. Ajax 4-1 in the first round of the UEFA Champions Youth League:

We've faced Ajax three time and it's the first time we beat them.

Adama Traore is a frigging beast. Fastest, quickest and strobgest winger in our academy.

Re: La Masia
Generally speaking, pacey youngsters rarely make it big as they rely too much on their speed and while in youth football it works, on the big stage with good defenders and good defensive organisation they flop hard.
Re: La Masia
Pacey youngsters like Ronaldo, Messi, Bale, Navas, Walcott... etcdanyjr wrote:Generally speaking, pacey youngsters rarely make it big as they rely too much on their speed and while in youth football it works, on the big stage with good defenders and good defensive organisation they flop hard.
If there's only pace, sure, he won't make it big, but Adama has a very good ball control. He needs to improve a lot yet but he is only 17.

Re: La Masia
No, this is the Infantil B. The second best team in our youth ranks with Take Kubo, Ansumane Fati, Nico Gonzalez (Deportivo's Fran Gonzalez' son), Guillermo Amor Jr, Eric and the new signing Adrià Bernabé, all of them are awesome players.BarrileteCosmico wrote:

Barça's Infantil B usually doesn't win the league because it's the first year of football 11 and Barça players are 1 year younger than their opposition here, and at this stage that's a lot. But this team will most likely win it. I watched the first game and they won 5-1 and it was a show from Take, Bernabe and Nico Gonzalez.

Re: La Masia
I'm watching Cadet B, and they have a player called Ricard Puig. He is a striker and is really impressive. He is incredibly short, but can shield the ball and drible vs. much bigger players. Big potential there. We signed him this year frm Jabac Terrassa.

Re: La Masia
One year and a half later, after my first comment on Adama, he makes his debut in League and CL. I never expected him to progress that fast through our ranks.free_cat wrote:Welcome tonykross!tonykross wrote:Free_cat, what is your impression of Ebwelle ? I've watched him a couple of times and he has really impressed me. he has that natural ability to dribble pass players with ease.he was voted the best player in the tournament Juvenile B played in Qatar.
I've watched very little of Ebwelle cause he has just made his debut with Juvenil A and I barely watch younger teams. It would be unfair for me to judge him, but he looks a bit in the mould of many african wingers: really fast and can drible, but seems to lack some technique, plus the added uncertainity factor that you can never know if he's the age claimed.
In that sense, I think Adama Traore is more promising. They are both very similar players, lighting fast, but Adama is younger and his age casts no doubts as he was born in Catalunya.
Anyway, still a long path for Ebwelle and any kid can surprise positively or negatively later on.

About Adam-If he wasn't born in Catalunya I would wonder if he was actually 17 or not tbh

Someone alerted me that my boy Grimaldo is back in the starting line up, last time I checked on him was when he got the injury, been more than a year since then.
How does he look?

They were always somewhat pathetic lol, defence was a joke all the years I watched.

Re: La Masia
They werent pathetic when they finished like 5th or something were they?
They are kids, they will always let in goals vs grown men, especially when they lose the players they lost at the back.
Its not any one department anyway, the overall performances have not been encouraging.
