Will have my eye on Russia's Roman Shirokov. If the Italy demolition was anything to go by, this guy's got a lot more in his locker than what we saw there.

Schürrle probably also deserves a mention.

I'll go out on a limb and say for France Yann M'Vila (assuming he will actually be healthy enough to play) and for England Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

I'll go with Papadopoulos or Lewandowski.
im not sure if papadopoulos will get playing time
currently greece's coach has shown the starting 11 and papadopoulos is on the bench

He will play enough, just not every game from the start. We can't fit them all , unless Santos plays him as a defensive midfielder , which i doubt..

yeah thats what i was thinking, the reason he is not using him there is probably because we will be more defensive with him right?
how do you define enough? the way i see it the only way he will play is if torosidis isnt able to play therefore sokratis moves to Right back position and a center back slot is free for papadopoulos
if not i dont see santos breaking the avraam-sokratis CB duo..

the duo won't broke , but anything can happen in these games and i can already see K.Papadopoulos being the first substitution when it comes to defence. There goes the enough , but we will see i guess..
What i would like to see is Torosidis at the left , Papadopoulos duo and Sokratis as a right back. We are sit in attack or in build up play , better form a great defence and try our luck with free kicks and corners lol
Seriously though , K.P should be a regular , it's a crime to leave him on the bench.

Reus,Goetze,Afellay,Strootman(if given a chance).
Per f***ing Merte to prove he is the biggest star be being the worst CB in the tournament. Calling it now. Merte (with Bads) vs RVP+ Robben/Afellay, what a mis-match in terms of speed

Karim Benzema - Golden Ball has his name written on it already...
Re: who do you think might be the surprise player of Euro 2012
Benzema would hardly be a "suprise" player, he's already the best player in the French NT.

If given playing time, Rasmus Elm.
Great swedish talent. Should move to top European league imo

Rasmus Elm will start i think, Kallstrom and Svensson cant play together(kind of like Lampard-Gerrard)
But for me its definitely Bajrami, that guy is one hell of a talent only that he is selfish but that can be eradicated

Re: who do you think might be the surprise player of Euro 2012
yes he is a very technical CM already taken a starting role at the age of 23, he is AZ Alkamaars best player takes all their penalties etc and he has only been there for 2 seasons
Liverpool want him as well, they should go for him imho, wherever he can play and grow really be it Newcastle or Liverpool..... ( Man U were interested before)

Re: who do you think might be the surprise player of Euro 2012
hopefully we dont flop, we have a great winning record and when we played Ukraine last we won 2-0, a win in the opening game will be vital after that we can park the royal marine infront of our goal against France and England

Re: who do you think might be the surprise player of Euro 2012
I really like the guy Mole, but don't know where Newcastle would play him if he came with Cabaye and Tiote there.
Has some fantastic long balls, nice goalscoring ability actually, set piece specialist aswell.
He is regarded as Sweden's best talent since Ibra here. Great player, hopefully he will go to Liverpool. I think Liverpool will return to Europe in 2 years or so (if they replace all their shit players which I think they will with the new US management)

Re: who do you think might be the surprise player of Euro 2012
Se7en we play a variation of 4-3-3.... if we want him it wont be to compete with Cabaye and Tiote it will be to go alongside them.....
And the fact Pardew has mentioned him and the fact he's looking for a midfielder that is set piece specialist, help us keep the ball better and someone who could score goals.
Seems to suggest he probably is a target ( infact i know he's a target), we will buy a midfielder its just a question of who and what type of midfielder.
