he choked as recently as last season.... he choked in the Carling Cup Final against Birmingham City. He choked in the CL 2nd leg at barcelona as well. had a HORRIBLE game. That 'hamstring' injury was b/s btw too so don't try that excuse

You're talking about the kid who styled on Zidane and Viera as a 18 year old in the CL.

Man of the match in the Euro 08 semi final

Assisted world cup winning goal.

Oh and he didn't play int the Carling Cup final because of the "fake pulled hamstring"

Be serious.

I'm a Barca fan first and fore-most, but that don't mean I have to be biased with the rest of them in the Barca forum who claim they deserved to go through simply because they were "superior". Well, if they deserved to go through, they should have shown it then, instead of just wasting time passing the ball from one wing to the other. When Chelsea closed up shop, Barca simply ran out of ideas...First it was Inter in 2010, and now it's Chelsea in 2012. When is Pep going to learn that you need a plan B against bus-parking teams and not that silly tika taka? Barca needs to evolve or they will die!

Yeah, I thought you were a Barca fan, and then I saw your Dortmund crest :vagi:.

Well then, what tactic do you suggest?

Yeah, I thought you were a Barca fan, and then I saw your Dortmund crest :vagi:.

Well then, what tactic do you suggest?

-Well, you could acquire players who have an excellent shot from outside the box, for one. As of now, Barca have NONE.

-Second, you should have to have an excellent direct free kick taker in the team (in the mould of R10 or Junhinho).

-Third, you need forwards who can actually dribble past players instead of pretenders like (Sanchez or Cuenca/Tello). Only Messi seems to be the only one at Barca capable of doing that at the moment...dunno what happened to Iniesta.

-Fourth, you need to be pin-point with your crosses, which neither Alves nor the other winger could do.

-Last but not least, you need players actually capable of taking their chances (Barca only have Messi). Basically, this was the difference between Chelsea and Barca, one took theirs well, while the other fluffed one chance after the other.

What's the point of crossing if your players are all so short :vagi:.
How is getting better dribblers, finishers, and FK takers even a tactic?

both Puyol and Sanchez could've and should've scored with their head last night. Being tall or short does not really matter, all that is important is for a player to lose their marker(s) before the cross comes in.

tactics are not limited to formations only..

I hear that Cristiano Ronaldo guy is good at those. You should sign him.

That Cristiano Ronaldo guy is said to be good at these too. You should really go for him now.

OK now you're just messing with me that Ronaldo bloke can do that too.

Are you serious he's not bad at those either.

I seem to recall Portuguese player doing that, he also regularly scores his penalties, you should really sign him now.

It's funny how Brady2Moss was labeled as a defeatist/not barcafan after coming with constructive critique in the Barca section.

I agree with him pretty much. How to break buses:
a) longshot
b) cross the ball in
c) be clinical

all of these things barca lacks

Ronaldo good at dribbling Laughing

Messi, Xavi and Villa are all fantastic free kick takers.

Villa is a fantastic penalty taker.

Alves and Villa are both great at long shots.

lol at Messi and Xavi being "fantastic" free-kick takers. Those two are not even fit to lace the boots of R10...

Yes Cristiano is good at dribbling Josh. However, there are guys who are just better at him at it. Two of those guys currently plays for Barcelona.

It was one of the most shocking moments of the season to see Ramires score a lobbed goal against Barca at the Camp Nou. So much for headless chicken. I'm never gonna forget this. Laughing

Is it any good?

Oh and much respect for Ramires. I have been one of his critics for some time (not here obviously) but he really came through against Barcelona and I reckon he has been one of Chelsea's better players this season if I'm not mistaken.

Also a special shout out to Ashley Cole...
