Cesc was better at Arsenal.I've watched some videos recently and his final passing was excellent and he was much more faster.

Well, yeah he was once regarded as cancer.

He was supposed to be Guardiola's replacement but absolutely failed and I still remember his horror game vs. Real Madrid 4-1 where he was completly humiliated and dominated and was one of the worst performers on the pitch.

No he wasnt benched.

He was injured the entire season, came back towards the end. Of course he isnt going to start the CL final after so much time out.

Would we start Villa if he came back just a couple weeks before the final? No, of course not.
