Webb did surprisingly very good, I expected much more contraverse actions fro m him but hands off he did much better than in EPL.

I found his performance to be quite good in all honesty. A UCL semi final shouldn't be about the ref but about the 2 teams that is playing and Webb tried his best to make sure the match ran as smoothly as possible.

And yes, Marcelo could have gotten a red card for that challenge but the ref probably took in consideration:
1) It was in injury time and not really much was gonna happen
2) Marcelo tackled with his shin and not his studs thus the tackle wasn't as bad as Mueller made it look like. It also was one footed, you get a red card for 2 footed tackles.

As for the rest of the incidents, all were left to the interpretation of the rules and I think Webb wanted it to be free of any controversy i.e it had to be a clear cut penalty (which neither was) and a foul deserved of a red card.

I have no complaints over Webb's performance.

the challenge by marcelo was dirty, no one is denying that. here is why i think it would have been a harsh red card.

marcelo's first foul, it was in injury time, had no impact on the game is it was finished right after.

so a red could have been given but i think it would have been a very harsh red considering the circumstances. it would have definitely been considered a harsher red than pepe's in the semis last year.

i wouldve wanted marcelo to get a red card though , IMO , that tackle had a lot of malice in it , wouldnt have changed much though, was in the 92 nd min ianyway ..

Yeh, and Coentrao is probably gonna start again, I just like to have a warning shot like that, would've guaranteed that people think twice before pulling shit like taht again in the return leg, would in the end protect both team's players...

I thought Webb had a close to excellent game,Refereeing a match like this with all the fighting and diving isnt easy, and he did the job well.
1.Bayern's offside goal
Again,Offsides are the linesmens job,and it was impossible for him to see Gustavo through all these players, they were blocking his view.Furthermore,It is up to the referee or not whether Gustavo was involved in the Goal, even if he did see it.It looked to me that Pepe was the one blocking Casillas's view.
2.Gomez's penalty
Ramos made a really good tackle and got the ball,However Coentrao tackled Gomez without the ball and it should have been a penalty.
3.Marcelo's LATE CHALLENGE
Red Card.
Well looking back he had a good game nothing more than that or nothing less. You also gotta give him credit for not falling for any of Di Maria,Ronaldo or Ribery's dives.
