Of course I don't believe that Ronaldo was taking a limo all around town looking for new boots or searching for a shop himself.

But it's still a stress factor to have the uncertainty, no matter how long it lasted and how close the game it was. Also, I think for example Ronaldos boots are custom made and sent to him by Nike. I doubt he buys them straight of the shelf in the size that's most fitting. Seeing as he's their biggest poster boy.

Meaning he doesn't get exactly the fit he's used to and so on.

Not that it should matter with professionals at this level. But a lot of football players are very superstitious with gear as well as their rituals.

I'm more shocked someone actually got to steal boots in a stadium like the Alianz Arena. Steven Sodebergh next theme for an Ocean's movie perhaps?!

1 week old cleats > brand new cleats out of the box

There's a reason why cleats have to be "broken in" and it would effect passing and shooting.

Woop woop! I knew there had to be a perfectly legit reason as to why Madrid lost the match, besides the fact that they were poor and conservative. Now I can sleep easy.

We've heard about the volcano and terror of traveling by a luxury bus for 2 years now. And we've heard about the San Siro pitch.

How any Barca fan can take the high horse route here is beyond me.
