Di Maria is actually one of my favorite players at Madrid and I do think he is a scape goat of sorts and doesnt get enough recognition

Last year, before his injuries in the 2nd half of the season he was by far our best player

The only thing I truly hate abhout him is the fact he can't use his right foot if his life depended on it. Scored one good goal on his right one day and its like he totally forgot how to use it

Mole, what you dont understand is that we are making constructive criticism about our player. He is not perfect, he is still young, so there is nothing wrong with pointing out what we dislike about him at the moment.

We are not saying that he is shite, merely that for all the talent and skills he has, he can still be incredibly inefficient. We would welcome more competition for him wide, a different option in different games, because at the end of the day, we care more about Real Madrid winning than goallegacy posters rating Di Maria over Robben or Nani lol.

I think you of all people should understand us when we comment negatively about Di Maria, because for all the contribution Cesc brought to Barca, you called him shite and you would very likely ship him off to Rubin Kazan if you could.

Thats true but sahin has impressed me whenever i saw him, including last season.

theres no doubting how good of a player sahin is.. but di maria has been great for us, sahin hasnt. di maria had a great game against la. credit where credit is due.

sahin is being overhyped, he's rich man's gago... most of his passes are either backward or sideways... if you think he's Guti, or Pirlo or Alonso, you're gravely mistaken.

In some Liga game he can produce amazing goal assists but for example against barca in Bernabeu he wasted 3 great opportunities by sending stupid passes to valdes and Puyol instead of teammates. he is so nervous some times that he can't even send a simple pass.

This kind of player you can't really trust. specially in important matches. hope he works on that.

In any case sure your allowed to give constructive criticism, but Di Maria is the only player i see recieving this " constructive criticism" When Ozil was crap till January i never saw any of this coming his way at the same time when Di Maria and in a lesser extent Ronaldo was carrying the attack.

Di Maria is treated differently to other players in the squad despite offering as much if not more than some of them.

You clearly don't respect him as much as most of the team.

It's not just about stats. In the EPL stats are good enough, however the way the team plays matters at Real Madrid.

I like Di Maria, but this claim is BS. Last season Ronaldo, Ozil, Coentrao, & Kaka got such kind of criticism much more than Di Maria.

Ozil didn't even need to be crap to get it, the worst thing he did was just fail to wow some fans who had ridiculous expectation on him, but even in his low point he never messed up anything, unlike in Di Maria case where he's absolutely horrible in his low point at the beginning of the season and after coming back from his injury.

I also don't know if people who acted as if Ozil was crap during the whole first half of the season even watched the games or they just forgot that Ozil still has a few MOTM performances during that period. Was still maintained his standard in pretty much all CL games, had heroic match saving his team coming from behind in match vs Rayo Vallecano where di Maria sucking so bad, and Ozil generally still always contributing positively in the play. People just expected more and didn't allow him to have two not so great games in a row. Hence there's thread in Madrid's section calling him traffic cone or something, saying Kaka was better, people even discussing how his night life must have had affected his game in the thread called "the new Ozil", and many more.

Don't get how people saying Di Maria didn't get the credit he deserved. After the slow start and he finally started to have great games in about 2 months before getting injured, Di Maria got a lot of praise and many said he's the best player during the first half of the season even though his run of great games was less than 2 months and even though he never really that good in CL games. While in the second half of the season, Ozil did more than Di Maria ever did in the first half of the season, but Ozil still got less credit until his MOTM performance vs Barcelona. I could swear there's a thread crying for Di Maria's come back in Madrid's section, so how people think he still not getting enough respect is beyond me.

In CL games vs Bayern, Ozil was one of the best performers & on top of that scoring important away goal & assisting a goal, but a few still spacegoating him for being not like Bayern's Kroos and some fans was still like 'that goal & assist was the only good thing he did'. Talking about Bayern's game, it also only took one game vs Bayern for most fans to treat Coentrao and Kaka like crap & forgetting their important contribution before that. And that was the game where Di Maria didn't do any better then them.

I think Di maria was treated just fine, at least wasn't any worse than a few other players. He's underrated by some fans while being overrated by others, just like any other players.

Yeh he's inconsistent. There's certain bits of his style that suit our current style though. Like his pressing, tracking back etc.
