Re: Olivier Giroud
Can't wait for Sergio Ramos to become pundit.
Sergio Ramos as pundit in 2022: "I want to congratulate my former team Real Madrid for achieving La Decima. They've finally done it!"
Sergio Ramos slipped up on Social networks this Monday when he congratulated Spain's women's water polo team for the gold medal it won almost a month ago at the World Championships in Barcelona: "Time to rest after watching the women's water polo team win. Congratulations girls!"
In the run-up to Real Madrid's league match against Granada, the Spanish international defender was in the team's hotel watching a repeat of the final against Australia (8-6) being broadcast on Teledeporte.

Is there a better header of the ball in the league? It's almost like he's better with his head than with his feet

Carroll, Benteke, Gestede, Pelle, Gomis are all stronger in the air.

I don't see it. They may be stronger, but they're definitely not as accurate
Btw don't talk to me about Benteke and heading after his fail attempt at marking Mertesacker in the FA Cup final

Re: Olivier Giroud
Carroll's heading is overrated for me, the guy is just really tall. I'd love to see the stats on how many goals he's actually scored or assisted with his head. I bet they aren't as many as people would have thought.

Pretty much all of them
His numbers would be a lot higher if he wasn't constantly injured.

Re: Olivier Giroud
So not many then
Fair point, I just feel his heading ability is a lot more down to him being so tall rather than being brilliant in the air but that's imo

It's only Olympiakos but that was a flawless performance. He did everything right tonight, wish he could be a bit more consistent in his overall play.

I don't think he necessarily ranked them in order tho
Because no way you could have Lewa and Ibra down there while *bleep* Adebayor is in 4th

Most telling is that it was his first hattrick as an Arsenal player. In 3,5 seasons. An Arsenal 1st choice striker.

Re: Olivier Giroud
He's not the most lethal of strikers so I don't know why you would bring that out as if it is a major issue. Besides he has had many games in which he finshed with two goals.
More telling is this:
Olivier Giroud for Arsenal
Apps - 157
Goals - 71
Assists - 29

Re: Olivier Giroud
Hope he stays as a back up option after we get the much needed improved striker which we do indeed need. Hope he gets to 100 goals sooner rather than later. Could end up being more of a treasured player to the club if he does this along with names like Wiltord, Anelka, Kanu and Overmars. Rather than rats like van Persie.
But he most probably won't stay once he sees he isn't starting enough.

We need the Messiah back ASAP. Goat poster.
On another note, wasn't even aware Giroud to Bayern was supposed to be that close in 2012
Guess the world of football transfers looks different if you observe it through the slowmotion microscope amplifier of football online forums

Sorry, I know you're used to seeing Messi and co. score hat-trick after hat-trick against the Jeremy Corbyns of La Liga, but it's not meant to be a common football featfree_cat wrote:Most telling is that it was his first hattrick as an Arsenal player. In 3,5 seasons. An Arsenal 1st choice striker.
