Actually no. Monaco play a counter attack style and use 2 strikers (2 of Berbatov, Carrasco and Martial). They need you to be either technical or fast or both... slow target guys would be useless.

Give me a break, Giroud should have had a hat trick, our attack was entirely disjointed, it really didn't matter in the end how slow he was.

He just had an off day and was piss poor like the rest of the team, these threads getting bumped on one off game after two months of great play is pretty funny though, even if it is by a troll.

Giroud is not even a top 3 French striker, anyone playing as sole striker with Sanchez, Oezil, Ramsey and Walcott behind him will have a decent scoring record.

Yes, Higuain was born in France. No, that does not mean he is in the topic of the best French strikers.

And yes, you can make an argument for Menez and Gignac but you can also make one for Squillaci as a striker, it won't be a good one. Laughing

He and Benzema are in the same class, only thing Benz has on him is better mobility and slightly better instinct.

BC Monaco was an off-game, even Messi has them sometimes.

Firstly, this man deserves respect to have won a Ligue one with Montpellier against PSG, this happened with his goals.. Player enough over-hated , but he is legit . He shows limits when the level gets up though , that 1st leg against Monaco ...... Arsenal could go on with another CF
Anyway top 3 French CFs easily , with Benzema and Lacazette

Giroud is the 2nd best french striker out there . He's ahead of Lacazette for sure. But to say that Benzema and Giroud are the same class is not true. Benzema is WC whereas Giroud showed his limits against top oppositions.

Imo, Benzema is one class above Giroud and it all comes down to 'mentality and confidence' and off course better intution about the movement of surrounding players on the pitch.

Benzema has proved himself on top level and playing in a team like Madrid is never easy. He constantly accomodates himself and gets involved in whatever way possible helping the team, irrespective of who is behind him.

i swear this forum is unbelievable, freaking suarez can be top 3 in the world ffs, but benzema is step above giroud..., when suarez himself isn't even better than benz. just give the guy his due, he is a lot better than people like to give him credit for, giroud is no where near benzema just like a lot of other overhyped cf in footy
