What a long, strange trip it’s been ladies and gents…

I’m writing to inform you that the forums will close down on Wednesday, June 8.

It’s been a real pleasure and I want to thank you guys for all of your insight, analysis and commentary over the last three plus years.

For all the melodrama and malaise there were some exceptional users who really knew their stuff and a number of threads and conversations I will not forget anytime soon.

There is no counting the amount of times I howled out loud with the missus quizzically looking at me saying ‘it’s the forum boys again isn’t it?’

I understand that this is a second home for some of you but our new comments-based system (which is coming soon) will have a forum-like feel to it and will reward loyal users.

Look at the bright side lads, you can now spend your summer outside on the patio sipping cold drinks and chasing that leggy blonde or busty brunette that you’ve had your eye on for the last little while.

I want to publically thank the mods, who sometimes took more heat than they deserved while doing a damn good job around here. Your contributions will not be forgotten.

This thread would resemble a novella if I took the time to thank all the users who made this worthwhile for me. You lads have the talent, intelligence and wit to be extremely successful in whatever field you choose to venture in.

Thanks for the memories gents and as the old adage says 'all good things must come to an end.
