Bradley ffs
Romanisti simply didn't think he was good enough, but when he plays like this, this is why I believe he still could've competed in our midfield.

Re: USA USA USA!!!
You know that Löw had to recall the players from their vacation, and some did even opt to stay away, while the US are already in full gear for the Gold Cup?

Re: USA USA USA!!!
Yeah this wasn't our A team either. Definitely a B team. Germany are gearing up for the Euro qualifiers though, no?
The fact that we beat Germany isn't what's got so many of us in a tizzie....it's that we've done it on German soil. And after doing it to the Dutch on their home patch as well. The US simply don't win many matches on European soil and to do it twice in the span of a week is remarkable, friendly or no.
Ultimately, it doesn't matter who played and who didn't. If you had told me before these friendlies that the US would come out of both with wins, I'd have politely told you to commit yourself
Obviously not a huge deal to Germans and the Dutch, but for a burgeoning football nation like us, wins like this will be remember and cherished until we can do it for real, when there's something on the line. This is a giant step in the right direction.

And this was all of the US's best players? Not our A Team.

Re: USA USA USA!!!
The Euro qualifier is against Gibraltar, so the players will consider the match already won at a canter and dream of what they want to do during their holidays... And considering the fact that the Gibraltar players are all strictly amateurs except for one, IIRC, they will likely even get away with it.McLewis wrote:Yeah this wasn't our A team either. Re: USA USA USA!!!
Klinsmann threw Bedoya under the bus when his ridiculous experiment of playing him as a DM () failed. Disgusting stuff. Shit like that will cost him the locker room in the long run.
This loss was well deserved. Bradley's not an AM, playing 2 young CBs together for the first time against Brazil is insane, this "hold on and weather the storm" stuff is just not going to cut it. This side needs to keep some possession and start imposing itself on the game. Never seen so many big guys so afraid to tackle these tiny Brazil players.
Awful.

Re: USA USA USA!!!
Think I'm officially an opponent of Klinsmann remaining as US coach.
He's not the right man for the job anymore. He could've been, but last night made it clear that he isn't. Not about the goals or even his squad selections, but about the way we played that game.

Re: USA USA USA!!!
Well that was a shambles of a performance. Klinsmann will (rightfully) get a lot of criticism about his starting line-up but the players should be playing better than we saw regardless.

Re: USA USA USA!!!
I actually saw this match and I must say that was really dreadful from the US. I can't comment on whether this is due to talent or tactics but whatever it is, Jurgen didn't really cover himself in glory by playing guys out of position.
Reading comments this is something he has been doing for a while now. I must say, while CONCACAF is actually getting better, the region needs both USA and Mexico to perform at its best. Could really do with that 4th WC spot instead of 3 and a half.

Re: USA USA USA!!!
Can anyone explain why Klinsmann is still US coach?
Are there no alternatives? Is he really that well regarded in principle that multiple embarrassing results are tolerated?
What are the reasons for his employment?
Do the US feel they need someone with some kind of European pedigree/experience?
They don't. Not if that someone is Klinsmann.
I must admit to finding the whole thing baffling.
The guy is a clown and a fraud.
I overuse the words but Klinsmann really is these things, and not much more

Re: USA USA USA!!!
Well, at least we got consistency of line up for once even though I still think it's the wrong one.
Still need to watch the second half, but I was happy to see how well the team handled the pressure for the Ticos early and punished them for it on the counter as good teams should.

Re: USA USA USA!!!
If England hire Klinsmann
Sorry folks, that's a bit too much fantasy. You'll have to get rid of Klinsmann somehow yourselves, he won't just go away. Also, isn't he settled in Calfornia with his family since forever?
But I mean, it's not like you don't have the means to dissappear people. Baghram, Diego Garcia, or Guantanamo if you want to be less subtle.
Certainly Klinsi has terrorized more people than most of the people kept there.

Re: USA USA USA!!!
Do you guys think Klinsmann has got to go now?
At long last?
Who would be candidates to succees him, both in terms of what you think, and what you hope, is going to happen?
