I think we should switch to a 3-4-1-2, it might just work against Barca, I have no idea what was going through Allegri's head to start Silva against Juve, and then to repeat the same mistake against Roma. I respect him and love him as a manager, but that was one of the worst decisions ever.

Anyways, my line up would be -- Abbiati; Mexes, Nesta, Yepes/Bonera; Emuanelson, Aquilani, Nocerino, Mesbah; Boatang; Ibrahimovic, El Shaarawy...

The main aim from the first leg is to not concede an away goal, Try to score 1 or 2, I know it's near impossible to stop Messi and co, but if we are to do anything is to just hope that we play an amazing game.

As pessimistic as this may sound , it must be said . There's no chance keeping a clean sheet against Barcelona , with Silva off .

And even though i never lose hope easily , right now i am unable to see how Milan could get away with it. Silva is for Milan's defence what Messi is to Barcelona's attack , i can't find better words to describe his importance.

I still have trust in Milan , though things now have gotten really difficult . Milan will need the word epic in their game , to have any chance of achieving something positive.

Seriously though, this news was devastating. Hopefully our fullbacks (who I'm assuming will be Bonera and Antonini) will have the game of their lives. I still have tonnes of confidence in a CB pairing of Nesta and Mexes. Nesta is still a top 3 centreback in my opinion. No one in the modern game is as smart as he is tactically. Mexes has been immense this year as well. He's rarely put a foot wrong. Bonera has been very solid this year. Probably the best year of his career. Therefore, it will depend, once again, on the weakest link of our team. The dreaded left back position. Hopefully Antonini can keep up his good form.

But WOW, losing Silva is still huge.

I was surprised to see him play vs juventus . Then Roma ? he obviously needed a rest . Hope he come back soon , hope juve don't close the gap

though , if attacks fail , you get raped as well

Best thing Milan can do against Barcelona is when they have possesion ,
we leave them as less space to pass as possible ,
run at least the same as they do and
play as few passes as possible when we are to counter attack

But i agree , Milan should attack them big time in San Siro , especially at the 2nd half. Long balls could prove very usefull as well.

I just heard the news about T.Silva who is a player that I respect. I wish him fast recovery guys he is really honest and decent.
