I'm not too sure. BAD-stuber starts by the way and Alaba wasn't tested against a proper attack. Both of them together at the left side of the defence is very risky unless Bayern keep 80% possession

People are still underestimating Basel. They'll smash Bayern if Bayern comes with this type of attitude. Only way I see Bayern going through is if they treat Basel like Madrid or Barca.

Alaba is actually a really good full-back..You could tell how comfortable he was in that position when i first saw him against Fiorentina.

Aside that whenever he has played at LB(The game against Hamburg comes to mind) he has literally saved Badstuber's ass who was having a woeful game.Plus he has looked very comfortable defensively ,more so than Rafinha at RB.

I think its a good decision from Jupp to drop Rafinha and put Alaba at LB.

Lahm-Boateng-Badtsuber-Alaba looks so much more better.

ill be cheering for the underdog again.

Most of all, Lahm really hasn't had a good season at LB, I mean he's great going forward there, but he's needed in defence - and he does that best on the right flank.

I'm not labeling Alaba as bad. I just said he isn't tested as leftback against top opposition
