Lex appreciation thread
4-3-1-2 has a majour weakness in wide areas. A team like Milan with crap fullbacks wouldn't have won 4-0 in the first leg without damaging the flanks. Lex was right and today we saw the proof I wondered in the first game why my and Arq' s prediction didn't come true
Pitch condition DOES matter and the ones who damage them are inferior teams

Re: Lex appreciation thread
Put it this way, if the first leg was played on a Emirate quality pitch, i don't think Milan would have walked away with a 4-0 win

Re: Lex appreciation thread
What is your case? So essentially, what you're trying to say that is the world's best winger, Walcott, would have had more of a significant effect, oh dear.

Oh, the pitch would have had a significant effect on Walcott's performance. Even on a perfect pitch like today, Walcott still proved to be ineffective, just says it all. Ignorance.

Re: Lex appreciation thread
Except Arsenal played like sh*t in Milan so the pitch was barely a factor.

Who put the ball in to the box for Silva to fail at clearing it?

Re: Lex appreciation thread
Tell that to Lex, who thinks Walcott is amazing. His argument isn't even valid. In the first leg, it was a poor pitch, and Lex is using it as an excuse for Walcott's abysmal performance. Today though, it was a great pitch, where was Walcott though? He was dire throughout, far too many dribbles, trying to be Messi, and far too many dire crosses. Lex owned again.Adit wrote:walcott is crap.II Capitano wrote:Oh, the pitch would have had a significant effect on Walcott's performance. Re: Lex appreciation thread
Walcott ran the Milan back line ragged all game, it's his final ball that was lacking.
Ibra had a far, far worse performance than Walcott

Re: Lex appreciation thread
AC Milan don't own the San Siro so they couldn't have intentionally damages the pitch.
Stop being butthurt it is two legs for a reasons and over the course of Both home and away legs Milan won. End of story.

Re: Lex appreciation thread
I just have one thing to say, if the first game didn't finish 4-0 but rather let's say 1-0, the 2nd game would be no where near whats now and Milan would actually play serious rather than just playing because they don't want to disrespect Arsenal.

This thread had nothing to do with Walcott, so why bring him up? You make the rules up as you go along

Re: Lex appreciation thread
Meh.
Milan played as most teams do when they have a huge lead going into a 2nd leg...uncertain and afraid a single goal will start a comeback. Thats exactly what happened.
These situations are not a game of quality, but mentality...Arsenal got a goal and believed in themselves..all Milan could do was hold on.
Nothing to do with quality or the pitch.
