Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
We started struggling the moment our half injured players became fully injured. It has nothing to do with 3-0 or whatever
half our squad is on the verge of an injury. oxlade played 30 mins while limping, had to go off when he couldnt walk. same with walcott, and rosicky.

to Wenger and Arsenal for a very entertaining match.
Damir Skomina was very card/whistle happy tonight, but still a great game.

A team struggling for 4th, beating the Italian champions 3-0. Deserves the applause

Arsenal ran out of steam at the end. Better bench and maybe this could have been a historic result.

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
There was an open freeway on Milans left side. It wasnt the pitch it was Mesbah crapping his pants in his first CL game, not defending properly. Anyways, Arsenal played a fantastic first half, respect to Arsenal for their brave demonstration.

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
Credits to Arsenal, they believed in the comeback, but when Van Persie missed that sitter it was obvious Milan will go through.
Ibra failed as always when things got tough, Song with his idiotic behaviour in 90 minute lost precious time for his team. Ox was very good. 1st half >>>2nd half. There is only one Deportivo

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
I thought we defended ok in the second half. Milan had two clear chances the whole game, one put wide by El Whateverhisnameis and the second was, quite frankly, a Superman save from Szczesny

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
fantastic effort from arsenal.. have to be the most unpredictable team in europe right now
sadly couldnt finish the job now, milan showed their experience and class in the last 20 minutes.. go out with your heads held high though
just dont blame the pitch for this loss, leaves a sour taste for neutrals and i can only imagine , how milan fans wouldnt want credit to be taken away from their team in the first leg .. ( plus reminds of certain team that blamed volcanoes :lol!: )

Well he was anticipating Abbiati to lunge to the left or right to make a save, leaving the whole top of the net open, but Abbiati read it very well and saved it.

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
Wonderful spirited perfomance from Arsenal.Kudos for them.
But i was really expecting something more from Arsenal's talisman Van Pesie though. For a guy who has literally carried Arsenal on his shoulders ,he dint deliver in one of Arsenal's biggest games and that i think was the only letdown today in what was a glittering perfomance from the Team.
Also this Milan side with this above average coach are simply not cl winning material.Semis is the most they can make this year provided they get an easy draw.

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
It hurts. After the first half, everyone here at work thought I was on drugs because I was ecstatic.. Smiling too much and being overly excited on a tuesday at work is not normal. Luckily no one found out i was streaming the match.
Shame about the 2nd half. I think if we kept up the intensity and pressure we had in the first, it could've been different. Rosicky and Song were excellent in the first 45, but ran out of steam later, as said before. The tie was up for grabs, but that's football. I'm a little crushed now but still proud of the team.
Good luck and much respect to Milan. I hope they can make it far and possibly win it.

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
Imo, this game just shows that both Arsenal and Milan are just good teams. They both lack the consistency and the mentality to win the CL. But both games were extremely interesting. The difference between the two teams was the bench. Wenger bought in Park and Chamack, Milan brought on someone like Aqualani, who just helped them control the tempo.

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
I feel the draw was determined by how Arsenal barely pressed and failed to isolate Ibrahimovic in the 1st leg.
He was the head creator in charge and put the ball in dangerous area. Arsenal had no response to it.
I won't comment on the pitch, for Milan managed to play various goalscoring chances from there.
Real outstanding effort by the gunners to bring life into a all but dead tie. Showed true character and were unlucky to have bottle their last true chance.

If I had to get knocked out that wouldn't be a bad way to go. Kudos to Arsenal for the effort and to Milan for not completely losing the plot and finding themselves again.

Re: Arsenal Vs Milan
Chamakh did well, he held the ball up effectively and picked out the right pass every time. Park, on the other hand, looked far from convincing, and I couldn't make it where he was playing. He did very little to aid his cause, whatever that is, I forgot.
Overall, Arsenal were the better team, but AC Milan definitely made it an easy task, just the way Arsenal made it easy for Milan in the first leg, because of the complacency that was present within their team - two keepers on the bench says it all, really.

I don't know how much difference the pitch made but that Mesbah guy is total rubbish.
Arsenal fans should be proud of their team. They really wanted to erase the result of the first leg, and they did that, in a way.

Yeah fair play to Arsenal but I would have fancied my chances playing against Mesbah tonight.
Not good at passing, bad at going forward and terrible at tackling. Not the best positioning either.

What does Allegri have to do with this?
Is it his fault Abate did not mark Koscielny for a give away goal? Or Silva not clearing a routine clearance?
His tactics were only off in the sense that we should not have played 4-3-3 along with his failure to prepare the proper mentality into our players pre-match.
Hence Deportivo.
Complacency has been his NUMBER 1 problem in matches that aren't of such high pressure as otherwise he was spot on in the 2nd half to change the formation and replace the players.
Our players must be blamed, not him.
And RvP was their best player has 80% of plays went through him with his stellar play making and well taken penalty.
How is he too blame?
