Brazilian defender Dedé admits he is “certainly proud” that Juventus sent scouts to view him play for the Seleçao this week.

The 23-year-old centre-back is a star for Vasco da Gama and it was widely reported Juve directors were in the stands when Brazil faced Switzerland in a friendly this week.

“Yes, playing for Juve would be wonderful,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “I come from the same city as Felipe Melo and had the chance to talk about it with him. He described a very solid club and fans who follow them to every corner of Italy.

“I am happy at Vasco, but I am certainly proud to have attracted interest from Juventus.”

Dedé currently has a contract until 2014 and is valued at around €8m, but there are difficulties for his transfer to Italy.

The defender has a non-EU passport and the places for incoming players are limited.

I simply can't stay and watch bonucci leaking goals for us ffs I love him as person,character and defender but he is late bloomer aka Barzagli type nothing but a sub currently in my eyes

^ absolutely agree, he's just a liability when playing, you'll never know when he's going to "snap" or lose focus and create an utter mess, we'd be probably better off selling him now while we can still get 8 figures for him, or even keep loaning him to mid-table clubs until he develops and is ready, if that doesn't happen, simply sell him, in this way, he'll be getting playing time and hopefully developing while not messing things up in our defence and we probably wouldn't be paying his salary. so it'll be like he doesn't even exist. and everyone is happy, he plays, develops and gets payed, we simply take him back when he's ready, simple as that.
