What is a private torrent? Is it different than usual torrents?

Try Torrentday. I've been a member for close to a year now.. It's got a fair method of ensuring that members always seed, so the speeds are pretty awesome. And you can download "freeleech" torrents that don't count towards your account's download counter. ( You're encouraged to maintain a healthy ratio between sharing and downloading, so these torrents really come in handy..as you can download without having to upload..)

I've got a demonoid account (got it through an invite), but its not private anymore, you can sign up...

edit: can't sign up, but you can view all the torrents, so what's the point?

Yeah, I think you can download the torrents without an account now :L.

Utorrent is not a risk as far as i know! And it's what I use since it's the lightest and simplest!

And safety mostly does not depend on the software you are using but on what files you download!

But that is how all the P2P clients works without one realising it. File sharing = Fair amongst the peers. But now you get Vuze and all these torrent clients talking to each other silently where no one can see and share among them more than to other clients. I say Vuze got even a speed boost for a friend. Is that fair? Now Bitthief does the same. It goes in that hidden channels and fake itself as a client and download. Tit4Tat. Reason it was created is to tell filesharers 2 things.

1. There is hidden channels of communications where clients can conspire which = to unfair file sharing.
2. The same channels can the authority use to monitor all P2P traffic.
