Re: Cristian 'The Flash' Tello
A question for statisticians. It would be interesting to know his efficiency in getting into goalscoring positions or creating chances with a cut-back cross. I feel it would be very good. Any interesting stats?

5.8 shots / 90 minutes.
Just one stat, but he gets into positions often and doesn't shoot or crosses back. Very effective player.

Poor man’s Madrid section…
Seriously though, nice idea to have threads for every player. Not only Messi and Xavi deserve those

Re: Cristian 'The Flash' Tello
I think Cuenca would have been more effective than Tello last night, I feel Tello was wasteful, but he's young so it's fine.
I think Cuenca could have done better with a couple of situations like this one where Messi gives him a mediocre pass that Tello takes and trys to cut onto his right again when he had a great crossing opportunity to Pique and Messi in the box for an easy tap in that I think Cuenca would have probably done instead of trying to shoot:
Anyway, I'm not going to criticize Tello's entire game last night because I thought he was still pretty good overall and unlucky not to have scored.
He's really coming into his own with the first team and dominating the left wing. es un crack

Re: Cristian 'The Flash' Tello
I think Cuenca is a better starter, or earlier sub, but Tello is a great player to bring in in the last 30 minutes because he's 'the flash'. Overall I still agree that Cuenca seems to be more complete, but they both have different uses and can coexist.

He may of scored with his left foot before, I dont remember them, but he still needs to work on. As a coach, its clear for me to see anyway.
Yesturday, he beat his name and then tried to cross with his left and completely missed the ball, its because he wasnt autonimous with it and had to actively think about the technique to use his left.
He also had a shot with his left which lacked any real direction or conviction.

Re: Cristian 'The Flash' Tello
Also, look at the first vid carefully. Every time he used his left there was a very slight hesitiation and it lacked precision other than 1 cross. Even the goal, it was scruffy and a little lucky that the goalie isnt good.
The 2nd one was much better, but as you can see he went for full power which is easier than applying accuracy.

Looks and is fast like afellay
On another note, I'm seriously impressed with this guy. Blazingly fast, he also has great technique. Doesn't look like walcott at all, he knows how to use his speed

Re: Cristian 'The Flash' Tello
Maybe we can officialize his nickname as "The Flash". Here's my plan: Sport does a "best tweets" section after every match. The next time Tello has a good game or scores a goal we can all tweet Sport something to do with him being the Flash, Spanish phrases can be provided in here, and if we're lucky Sport will pick it up. With some more luck Sport might even start using it, given how appropriate it is.

Top idea! I was thinking of trying to get it out there... I would love to see a photoshopped Tello on the cover as The flash.
I will be famous

OKay, so apparently the twitter account we have to tweet is this one https://twitter.com/#!/L_MejoresTweets which runs this blog http://losmejorestweets.blogspot.com/, which is where Sport gets their ranking from.

The guy has proved useful but still needs game time through the B team and we probably won't be able to keep him as well enough already in our side. His a great super sub with amazing speed! Should be very useful in a few years time

LOL
Tello's acceleration is ridiculous. I'm really beginning to like this kid a lot. Does he have a future at Barca? Too early to say, but he certainly is impressing me, and it looks like Pep likes him too.
Has things to work on for sure, but he has that extra something he can provide to Barca no one else has, or had- Jeffren is the only one that comes to mind (and Tello is more explosive than him, too).
Will keep a keen eye on Tello.

He will get a significant update though. I think he'll go up to the 70s overall... he's only like 63 or something in the current Fifa. Hopefully speed and acceleration +90

Re: Cristian 'The Flash' Tello
That's the best part though, he was actually quite fast at Barca B, then they slowed him down when they put him in the first team dat logic.BarcaKizz wrote:Albiceleste wrote:Tello with 76 acceleration and 77 sprint speed on Fifa
