Re: Udinese Calcio
Two of their main players are out with Injuries with Isla facing a severe one.
Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin has received bad news from the treatment table in the aftermath of a 2-1 Serie A home loss against AC Milan on Saturday evening, as midfielder Mauricio Isla and striker Antonio Di Natale both picked up injuries.
The 23-year-old Isla sustained a knee injury following an unfortunate collision with Massimo Ambrosini in the second half, and was consequently stretchered off after 61 minutes of play.
Udinese have now released a statement on their official website saying that Isla has damaged the ligaments in his right knee, and could be out of action until the end of the season.
Di Natale, who netted the opener on Saturday, was forced to leave the pitch in the 75th minute due to a toe problem, and will be rested for several days before deciding on his recovery process.
Udinese currently sit fourth in the Serie A table with 41 points from 23 games.

Huge blow for them, coupled with the loss of Di Natale as well.
Could spell curtains for their CL push.

Mauricio Isla: Udinese will let me leave at the end of the season
Mauricio Isla looks to have played his last game for Udinese after revealing that the club have agreed to let him leave at the end of the season.
The Chile international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Friuli since last summer, with Inter said to be leading the chase for his signature. [
Isla, who suffered a season-ending knee injury against AC Milan last weekend, has repeatedly spoken of his desire to try his luck at a bigger club and has now announced that he is likely to depart in June.
“I talked to Gino Pozzo [son of Udinese owner Giampaolo], who decided to let me go at the end of the season,” the right wing-back told La Tercera.
“I do not exclude the possibility of staying as I was asked to stay for another year. But, for now, all I think about is recovering from this injury as soon as possible.”
Isla's agent claimed earlier this month that Juventus, Roma and Liverpool are also tracking the versatile 23-year-old.
Please Not Inter

We've had no contact with him right now, but I'm sure that's going to change this summer. Sabatini will work his magic.

Re: Udinese Calcio
Udinese plan new stands, more fans
Udinese began their pre-season with an in-depth news conference detailing their ambitions to improve their stadium and boost their season-ticket sales.
The Zebrette explained the improvements being made to the Stadio Friuli that begin this summer and which, as administrative director Alberto Rigotto revealed, ultimately involve the complete demolition of the two end stands by next summer.
“What is happening this summer is a foretaste of what the new home for Udinese will become. Work has already begun and it will already give us something significant for the present time,” he offered to reporters on the club’s movement and reallocation of seating behind each goal at the club’s ground.
“We are not selling season tickets for the Curva Sud and may ask fans from the Curva Nord to move to the side stand for the final two months of the season as we may begin further work on the ground before the end of the 2012-13 season.
“The initial work will address the two curva stands, we will demolish them and have them rebuilt by the end of next summer.”
Despite this disruption and the number of high-profile exits made from the playing squad this year, the club are targeting attracting a record 20,000 season-ticket holders, which would mark an increase of more than 5,000 from 2011-12.
“We insist that this is our ambition,” commented director general Franco Collavino. “It’s a course that aims to develop loyalty and sense of belonging for all.
“Last year we went from 11,000 to over 14,000 and so we are in the right direction. The club wants to maintain its relationship with its supporters, trying to incorporate their demands and the moderinisation of the stadium goes in this direction.
“Our relationship must be dynamic, not static. Prices will go unchanged as a matter of course, it is a significant sacrifice.
“In the 2001-02 season prices were higher than they are now - I think this is an effort that all fans can appreciate.”
Season ticket holders will also be offered free entrance into Coppa Italia fixtures, apart from any possible semi-final, and also a 40 per cent reduction on ticket prices for European matches. The club are in the qualifying round for a place in the Champions League.

Re: Udinese Calcio
Udinese given green light for new stadium
Udinese have confirmed that they have been given the green light to build a new stadium by the Udine city council.
The announcement was considered little more than a formality after it emerged that the Zebrette, who finished third in Serie A last season, were the only party to submit a bid for the project.
Udinese now plan to reveal their plans for the 'new Friuli' at a press conference later this week, with construction set to commence imminently.
The club are looking to follow the example set by Italian champions Juventus, who moved into their own stadium last summer.
The Stadio Friuli, which staged matches during the 1990 World Cup, opened in 1976 and has a capacity of just over 30,000.

Good that they are talking a step forward like Juve did. Italian teams need to own their stadiums.

Udinese will face Braga in the Cl qualifiers. Would be very disappointed if Udinese fail to progress.

Re: Udinese Calcio
Very poor match, Udinese were probably the better side but there were so few chances it was no surprise it finished 0-0. A complete let down after last season's encounter
Guidolin's comments about the match and Di Natale's absence:
“We took the initiative and deserved something more than a point. Antonio Di Natale had an argument with someone, but it wasn’t me. I have to keep the boat on an even keel.”

Re: Udinese Calcio
To be honest, Udinese got battered yesterday. their keeper made some fantastic saves to keep it 2-3. But who cares, that was a very precious and prestigious win for Udinese. Well done.
This was hilarious

Re: Udinese Calcio
Roma 2-3 Udinese: What an incredible win!!! A terrible opening 25 minutes, very poor defending and goalkeeping for the two Roma goals. After that, a much better performance and two very good goals. Then in the last five minutes Pereyra won what as an extremely soft penalty and Di Natale scored it. First away win of the season!
