Have Barcelona abandoned their 20+ years philosophy?
As we saw today, Barcelona were constantly crossing from the wings, and drilling in long balls into the box. Is there a shift away from philosophy Cruyff instilled? Thoughts...

Pep has lost it
WHERE IS THE TIKI TAKA PEP??? WHERE?
Bielsa is gonna be dissapointed, he is expecting a game of beautiful football, tiki taka vs. bielsa taka, but it's going to be anti futbol hoof it again like madrid

They're turning from their philosophy away to win games. In other words, they became very result oriented. I don't see where Pep, the Ghandi, is so much different from Mourinho anymore. If anything, he is a hypocrite. Also, did you notice, how the current Farca team is trimmed to efficiency with little flair? The only excitements are Missi's dribbles and even them became repetetive. They're 1000% more boring than Ronaldinho Farca.

As for their 20+ philosophy, I've never seen any before this generation of players. Public image keeps the money coming.

The philosopher can keep on rambling about tiki taka and so can the other Cruyff minions. At the end of the day, they utilize the same "anti-football" tactics that every other team does. Especially when they're in the sh*tter. Against mighty Getafe they resorted to hoofing the ball towards Pique and today Valdes didn't see his usual 50% possession. He hoofed the ball as well.

They constantly pumped the ball into the box today. From crosses or hollywood balls, you name it they did every sort of anti football ball. Made stoke blush

He says the truth. If you don't agree with him give a proper argument. Empty facepalms are getting boring nowadays.BarcaLearning wrote:jibers wrote:As we saw today, Barcelona were constantly crossing from the wings, and drilling in long balls into the box. Re: Have Barcelona abandoned their 20+ years philosophy?
He wasn't refering to possession but to the way Farca played today. I guess you didn't read the OP. Basically, your team hoofed the ball into the box from defenders to all others. When other teams play this tactics, we're called anti footballers.harhar11 wrote:Senor Penguin wrote:The philosopher can keep on rambling about tiki taka and so can the other Cruyff minions. Today, Farca was basically rich man's Stoke City (alexjanosik loves the term). Stoke have competition

Re: Have Barcelona abandoned their 20+ years philosophy?
I dont know why I bother, but its obvious Barca wont give up our philosophy. Guardiola is so stubborn with it, even I get frustrated at times, due to the players wanting to play their way into the box instead of being more direct at times... a lot of u guys are just haters who are biased. See some long balls and a difficult game or a poor result and u guys are starting these dumb threads
We stayed with our style today, we brought on subs to stretch the wings, we were missing Xavi and Iniesta and Busquets, and we underestimated them with a poor performance especially from defenders and Valdes mistakes, and Pedro and Roberto completely off their games.
But then, I will get some denial or just plain stupid responses I bet
