Abidal is at times, the most reliable player with his ball at his feet of any of the Barca backline. To say he offers nothing in attack is embarrassing, disrespectful and plain stupid.

And there isnt a better defensive leftback, not one.

hahaha, Coentrao better than Abidal, you must be kidding? I'm a fan of Coentrao from his time at Benfica, but Abidal has had the time to mature into twice the player Coentrao is at the moment - that's not to say that he couldn't surpass Abidal in the future.

Come on man. Ozil isn't a winger but he destroyed Abidal in camp nou. i don't think anyone can do that to Coentrao. he is really strong defensively.

Abidal had a 1 or 2 great season. thats all. atm he is not that great.
