Re: EPL Stats 2011/2012
I'd love to see Carvalho play as fullback.
Oh and most passes completed does not mean "best midfielder".
Also take into account that PL midfields this season have been generally shit all around.

@OptaJoe: 497 - Liverpool have made the most crosses in open play in the PL this season, but are the only side yet to score a goal from one. Wasted.

Yaya was no Barca reject, Pep was desperate to keep him, he wanted to leave.

Come on....when you get dropped for someone you're clearly better than you don't really have a choice.

We'd simply play 3 centre backs and 2 makeshift wingbacks.
Assuming....Marcelo,Corentrao,Arbealoa,Lass, and Altintop are all out.

Re: EPL Stats 2011/2012
You are aware Arsenal have never had thier first choice defence at any time this season or even 2nd choice the majority of the time .......
But thier first choice defence is very good......
I'd like to see Madrid deal with the equivalent of Verm, Gibbs, Santos, Sagna, Merte, Djourou all out for weeks at a time......
They have been forced to play midfielders at fullback ffs.

3 - Per Mertesacker has made more last-man saving tackles than any other Premier League player this season. Brinkmanship.

If it's a back 3
Pepe.....Varane Carvalho.
If it's a back 4
Altintop/Albitroll/Callejon............Pepe.......Varane..........Altintop/Albitroll/Callejon
Maybe even Carjaval or Nacho or knowing Mou Pedro Mendes.
But If Ramos was out we'd concede about double.

Re: EPL Stats 2011/2012
we have many choices if our whole backline were injured(as well as our Defenders on the bench)..... Callejon, Altinwhat, DiMaria, Lass could play in defence and we have Juanfran and Nacho in our B-team that Mou loves..... we wouldnt have a problem... not in the slightest
We have already played a makeshift defence this season on more than one occasion actually, albeit Varane and Albitroll have been fit

Re: EPL Stats 2011/2012
Does anyone have the full list for this?
I think it would be quite interesting to see where the rest of the league in terms of chance conversion rate.
Liverpool explains why they have so many draws.

I'll try and get these up later tonight. Heading to work in a bit so can't do it now.
And that LFC chance conversion stat is right. We are dead last.

Re: EPL Stats 2011/2012
City trahed Man united 6-1 ( ? ) and bagget something like 5 or 4 goals to Spurs
If those score wasn't so big , man u will have been ahead of them
Big shoot out to Ferguson , doing so well while having some garbage players. even rooney has been so inconsistent.

City and United are basically similar in terms of chance conversion. When you say United would have been ahead, which stat are you talking about?
