Marquinho will sign a 4 year deal of about 2 million a year plus bonuses, if the option to buy is excersised."

Yup, looks like it's going to be a loan with that 6 million euro option on him. I've been hearing both positive and negative things about him: some say it's a good piece of business, while others believe he isn't ready yet. Only time will tell, but with Angel not having conquered Luis Enrique's full confidence and a midfield that could probably use an extra pair of legs, I'm sure Marquinho will get his shot.

Roma bring in Marquinho

Roma have, as expected, completed the capture of Marquinho from Brazilian outfit Fluminese.

The player’s contract has been deposited with the Lega Calcio after a deal was finally done following weeks of talks.

Marquinho, whose full name is Marco Antonio De Mattos Filho, is a versatile 25-year-old attacking midfielder.

The South American has arrived on loan after spells with Palmeiras, Botafogo and Figueirense during his career to date.
