Geez he looks like Common now. Although it's a good move for Arsenal I really can't see a downside to it.

Is anyone worried that a potentially disappointing loan spell could hurt his reputation?

I'm not trying to troll, but he isn't the same player that left for Barcelona in 2007. In his first half-season with the Red Bulls, he was far from the dominant force he was expected to be. He stepped it up in his first full-season, but certainly not the dominant force that Henry in his prime would have been.

Also, isn't he the first player to play for a club who has a statue of him in the stadium...? (or something like that) If there's anyone who can handle that pressure, I'm sure Henry is one (Gerrard another ). It's just a strange thought. I keep thinking of what would've happened if Michael Jordan had returned to the Bulls upon his comeback, playing in the United Center that boasted a statue of him in from of its entrance. Those expectations would have been ridiculous, and I'm afraid the same thing may happen here.

Nah most Arsenal fans realize this won't magically fix anything and that this is just a temporary thing until Gerv comes back from ACON, so expectations aren't astronomical

No-one expects him to become the 4th highest scorer in the league or anything. Just to help ease the goalscoring burden a bit. Players of Henry's calibre don't completely lose their class

I don't understand the point of bringing him back though, he won't be able to do much.

Seems more like a formality.
