Burgers only solution to tears...
"A photo released by the club yesterday showed the Barcelona dressing room after their 1-0 loss against Real Madrid at the Copa del Rey final last season. It shows somber looks from Mascherano and Iniesta, but what stands out is Lionel Messi crying."

It's good that he doesn't have to cry often then.

Now everytime Ronaldo is about to score against Barca he starts thinking about how that will hurt poor crybaby Messi and decides to miss.

Nothing to be ashamed of, I think it speaks for their character. I would welcome any player like that on my team. BC already said it best, a loss should hurt. It's what drives you to become better and I've always believe you can learn more from losing.

Great to see how much someone who has won it all, still wants more, even if it's just the CdR.

This was a proud moment for us lol
It showed Pep how hungry this team was, it hurt the players much more then it hurt me for example.
They want to keep on winning everything and keep on dominating.

To be fair to him....a similar picture with Ronaldo crying after a loss would make this forum explode with laughter

Think that has more to do with the persona and attitude of Cristiano.
People enjoy seeing him fail.

Your not gonna get a disagreement from me but just showing the irony.
Their attitude dosen't change their reasons for crying.I actually doubt there's a more hungry guy for sucess than Ronaldo in the world right now ( other than Kobe) but like certain snakes in Africa.......when they go without food too long they choke on their eventual prey.

Re: Burgers only solution to tears...
Yeah, the reasons are the same. He doesnt like losing.
But its just Chris Bosh and Garnett for example.
Garnett broke down badely, it was difficult to watch. But everyone felt sorry for him because of his situation and his attitude (loyalty).
But when Chris Bosh cried after losing in the finals and had to be assisted back to the locker room people were laughing because of he was and who he plays for.
People are going to feel sympathy, empathy, admiration humour and a range of other things depending on the situation/person.

Not everybody is the same though, some are probably laughing at this pic, while others sympathize.

The irony of this statement coming from you is.... :lol!:
Not everyone I know loves Messi and some of those people are actually Barcelona supporters. Not everyone thinks of Messi as this perfect human being. It's like The Franchise said, Cristiano doesn't hide his arrogance and I know you already understand this. I'm sure Cristiano is emotional after losses and most players probably don't want to show the world that side. Letting others in can make a person vulnerable, but it would also show that you're human and you hurt the same way most of us do. This double standard you speak of exists only because of the way Ronaldo has decided to act. In my opinion, Ronaldo is to caught up in personal accolades and team success comes second.

I want to see Messi's reaction after the Copa America elimination. I wonder if he cried there too

True. But I think people who understand football, dont support nor hate Barca (like a few in this thread already) just see it for what it is.

Re: Burgers only solution to tears...
I could say you're right.....you probably are........but I'd be a hypocrite for it really.
I really do try my best to be fair to him........I've never exploded on him with hate like others in the RM section or anywhere else........
The personal accolades thing........sure......but then again I look at Kobe and I see a guy who could care less about his teammates.....whose sole goal in life is personal success....and he's my idol.........his personality is where I want mine to be...so I'm not gonna thoroughly blame him for wanting personal success.
What I do blame him for is what you rightfully said, too often he puts his own success ahead of the team's.Now to compare him with Kobe in that respect....Kobe understands that personal success only comes with team success and therefore works towards that.
The last thing I have to point out is something that bothers me with Lebron as well..... it's a deep character flaw IMO for any professional athlete. When you start comparing yourself with a guy or a rival and saying "I want to be better than him" like Ronaldo does with Messi and Lebron did with Kobe...you're letting envy control you, not ambition. You focus on being "the best" not "better than the competition".It's a vauge distinction.....butit's one that's always served me well.
