Re: Lord Bendtner
Id take Bendtner back if I was O'Neill. Wasnt that bad for us last season.
Better than overpaying for Steven Fletcher

That's what I thought, I mean, bidding three times for Fletcher while £12m isn't enough for Wolves, surely it's time for O'Neill to look for other targets... And Bendtner was decent for Sunderland.

Maybe his ego has gotten a little more realistic by now? He's 24, hopefully a little more mature than, well, a couple of years ago x)
And he hasn't been in trouble for a while as far as I know

Re: Lord Bendtner
I remember the end of 2009/2010 season as it was yesterday when he was single-handedly (well not literally) keeping us in the title race. That last minute goal vs Wolves.
He showed us in games like Porto (hattrick), Ipswich Town(that solo goal) that he's capable of magical moments. Too bad those moments are few and far between to consider him a TOP 15 striker.
I wish him all the best if he leaves. (except games against us of course)

That's the thing, he has show flashes of his talent but he is too inconsistent and has certain areas of his game he needs to improve.
But if you listen to him and watch him play you kinda get the feeling that he think he is world class or something

Re: Lord Bendtner
No joke, Cazorla could make this guy a 20 goal a year striker. That's just what he does.
If he can make Barca think about spending 30 mill for Rossi then god only knows what he can do for Bendtner.
BTW, I'm totally serious here. Cazorla's best trait is getting the best out of the talent around him and like I said before in this post Bendtner is really talented he just needs to gets his ass kicked to put his attitude in line.
Because he's not just a good striker I always thought his link up play was very good for a man his size.
I'm sure he will be gone soon enough, but with the injuries sure to come I would keep him and give him the chance to work with Cazorla. I still think he has tons of potential and I don't think Giroud or Podolski are that much more talented then he is. He looks just as good for Denmark as Podolski does for Germany.

Re: Lord Bendtner
^He's quite Similar to Rondon....Rondon didn't score that much last year but he thrived nonetheless.
OT: Whenever I hear his name I think about two things.
1.Him cock blocking Fabregas against Milan.
2,KSI's ran "Bendtner! Bendtner! , Bemdtner scored two frickin goals, frickin Bendtner , are you frickin mad? Bendtner ! Bendtner...............Bendtner!"
Possibly the GOAT sequence of any youtube vid in history.

I think he is technically superior to Rondon but they are similar. Bendtner has great feet for any striker but then you add his size and he has the makings of a special player plus Cazorla only worked with him for 1 year, he made Rossi look almost world class after working with him for a couple years and the same goes for Borja and even Nilmar to an extent.
He is the type of player that I think would thrive in another league. I just think he gets pigeon holed into being a big guy in the EPL and teams play route 1 football with him because that's just what they do in the EPL.
At least at Arsenal they play with the ball on the ground and he can show his full range of skills but if he keeps getting shoved off to lower level EPL teams he will never reach his potential as he will just be a big target man.
I think he would thrive in La Liga, kind of like a Kanoute where there are not many people with his skill set and size. I know he will never go there so the next best thing is Arsenal if they would just keep him but you can't blame them as he has dug his own hole with his attitude.
What I do know is he always played well in the CL against Barca and gave us problems.

cant argue with much of what you stated. it's just that he's worn out his welcome at arsenal. he needs to go. he's certainly capable of producing for someone else though

Olsen's substitution and tactics after that 2nd goal
Massive shame, as Croatia's loss had opened a massive door to potentially Denmark NOT being the worst runner up. It's now all over.

Re: Lord Bendtner
It was a ridiculous passage of play.
De Silvestri tried to keep the ball in play but himself slipped outside, the Danish player instead of possessing it and drawing a foul, made a bad touch and gave the ball straight back to De Silvestri. then cross for Osvaldo and rest in history.
One of the most avoidable goals I've ever seen. Fack life.

Re: Lord Bendtner
His goalscoring record for Denmark is amusing considering he's spent most of his club career on the bench.
Re: Lord Bendtner
Aint noone going to mention Agger I believe, playing Osvaldo onside?
Not to mention getting raped in the first goal?
Or that just because he plays for Liverpool?

Re: Lord Bendtner
Go back a couple of pages, his mistakes were mentioned and he got laughed at. Btw it was Bjelland who lost Osvaldo and Agger ran to cover for him. But he did get raped badly. The Franchise wrote:Aint noone going to mention Agger I believe, playing Osvaldo onside?

Re: Lord Bendtner
Eager at what?
If this was the only thread about the game (I assumed it was) then the lack of Agger criticism would be quite outragous considering what happened and the criticism towards the coach/other players.

Eager in your assumption, given that there has been a thread about WCQs stickied to the top of the section for months.
