We missed out on Marco Reus
I am unhappy, first neymar and now him. we are missing out on alot of young talents, even hazard might just fly out to 5 top clubs that are chasing him.
by the way i couldnt decide who was better, neymer or reus.
Neymar was a player who could dribble anyone, but he could dribble a player or 2 regularly, and had good positioning and excellent finisher. But he was a fly that every touch he got and he was flying on the ground lol, serial barca type diver, and not a divine force, more of a team player.
Reus on the other hand is someone who drives the whole by himself, his incridible counter attacking skills and his running all day long disecting the whole backline, his linkup play and exposing every bit of space, he is like ronaldo who defends, can dribble and doesnt flop on big occasions. He could play as a winger and as an AMC.
i am unhappy, who is there left, hazard, some little mentioned names like lucas, douglas costa etc
We need the next big thing type of player.
We need a winger who can get passed 3/4 players in a run regularly. isnt there anyone, the next frekin messi. cammon.
OMG how reus would have fit in so easily with us, we are totally his type.

Re: We missed out on Marco Reus
Why do we always have to look outside...
I mean, consider the options. I assume we want this Mr X to replace Ronaldo, right? We have Benzema who can play well there. Cantertanos like Sarabia and Jese. The Hazard deal is still alive, even though I would prefer Neymar TBH. But the club is actually looking serious about keeping our current squad and not making major changes (Coentrao apart), so why do we even need this next Messi now?

Re: We missed out on Marco Reus
i didn't really we were looking to get him.
I'm really happy about him signing for dortmund great for the NT.
Let's face it he wouldn't have started or seen proper action for at least 2years. He would just become another canales(although i've hope for him).
I don't like buying a player just for the sake of another club not getting him.
And he isn't at the level of Neymar, he's a very good prospect not a world beater,a klose/gomez long time replacement for the NT.
Are we actually interested in anyone right now (for jan) apart from fernandez?

Marco Reus isn't a insanely talented dribbler you know.......maybe you're thinking of Marko Marin.

Reus' dribbling skills are overrated, same for gotze.hazard and Neman are the real deal in terms of technique IMO,at least atm

Re: We missed out on Marco Reus
Agreed Ganso, Reus is a very very nice all around attacker, very versatile, but dont overrate his dribbling. He will certainly not beat 3/4 players regularly like you described. Same with Goetze, he is very good with the ball, and his size makes him dangerous but his dribbling is nothing like Hazard or Neymar.
Vargas is also going to be an excellent player in a few years imo.

Re: We missed out on Marco Reus
Madrid was interested in Reus? I feel he was too low profile for you guys.
Dunno why you're complaining when you have got the likes of Hazard, Neymar and other beasts in your reach.

Re: We missed out on Marco Reus
There is not one player in the world that will make us better at the moment. We have to find the solution to our problems from within the team and not outside.
If you lot continue to look outside, you will miss alot.

Re: We missed out on Marco Reus
First of all, people had different difinations of talent, mine is a bit different, i find a player more talented when he drives the team in the attack, create attacks on his own.
For example benzema, he isnt the best dribbler in the world, but the places he makes runs exatly between the defenders lines, the passes he makes in tight areas to bring others to game in the final third, those are the players that open the whole game. Thats reus main strength.
Neymar is a talented player, who can dribble anyone, but as soon as he dribble someone he falls on the ground on a single touch distroying the whole attacking runs that were made by his teammates resulting in distroying the attack. Neymar is a serial diver, on a slight touch to the ground, if you look any top winger like robben, messi, ronaldo, ribary etc, they all the high resistence to tackles, they dont fall to the ground easily because if you do you have to start the attack all over again. which is ok for barca, but not for madrid.
I perfer players that can get past players regularly without falling with a single touch like Reus, I perfer players that exposes the defence lines like benz, ronaldo and reus does, i perfer players that can make simple but very effective quick tricks which doesnt slow the attack down to get past players, while connecting with teammates resulting on completely disecting the backline, thats what reus does.
Reus is a perfect example of a complete attacker, he can dribble (Might not be the best in the world, simple but highly effective tricks, but does the job, and doesnt slow the attacks), he makes runs all day long between the defenders like Ronaldo and benzema and higuain, he connects and does build up play like benzema, ronaldo and ozil, he regularly scores goals dispite missing 75% of his chances just shows how much potential he has.
Now i want you to watch Some of these neymar videos and count how many times he fall to ground in single video and how much time and attacks he wasted by doing that:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&client=ubuntu&channel=cs&ie=UTF-8&q=neymer+vs+lucus&hl=en#q=neymar+vs&hl=en&safe=off&client=ubuntu&channel=cs&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=vid&tbs=qdr:m&ei=TcwFT_ndMsvirAeqpkk&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=4&ved=0CCEQ_AUoAw&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=4171f5137f62f26b&biw=1366&bih=682
And Now some Reus videos, and tell me which player is more effective and count how many dangerous attacks he participated in:

Re: We missed out on Marco Reus
Dude, no one even considered having this guy part of the team.
How did we miss out on him if NO ONE was interested in him to begin with?
This is very confusing.

This is what happens when Fifa 12 tactics are trying to be implemented into real life.
Let's not forget the CONSTANT knee-jerks and ripping of players.
Seems that you need to give a 10/10 performance to be saved from the knee-jerks for a week.

Re: We missed out on Marco Reus
I never said we were after him, but he was mentioned once as far as i remember.
I am talking about getting the next big thing to madrid.
Though i agree on this section being shit, now people instead of listining and arguing or even trying to understand what others are saying, they just dismiss it cuz its from fifa 12 even though reus is not even great in fifa 12, cuz their great knowledge exceeds everything that that exists, they why they are typing on the keyboard.
