We're going all the WAAAAAAYYYYY TO THE FINAAALLL!
We're in Group A, and we've been blessed by being put with the hosts (they're quite easy). Kind of unlucky to be drawn with Zambia from Pot D, they're probably the toughest of Pot D. Not to mention Senegal, they'll be extremely tough.
But I have faith in my country, we can do this!

I think we can realistically take anybody in the competition other than Ghana and Ivory Coast...
But we did beat Ghana like a couple of years ago, so imposible is nothing!!

i think because teams like cameroon, egypt and algeria are not in the competition, ivory coast with the amount of talent they have in their squad like tiote, doumbia ,ya konan etc..plus the other guys they are definately favourites ,but this is football so anything can happen

They didn't make it past the qualification process. Egypt actually finished bottom of their group, and all they had to face was Sierra Leone, Niger, and South Africa.
Anyway, the opening match is Equatorial Guinea vs Libya on the 21st. Hopefully we open this tournament with a smashing win.

This competition is nothing without those three teams, Africa football has declined greatly.
Re: The Official 2012 African Cup Of Nations Gabon/Equatorial Guinea thread
This is my prediction, no bias, I think this could happen:
Group A: Libya and Senegal to qualify
Group B: Ivory Coast and Sudan to qualify
Group C: Tunisia and Gabon to qualify
Group D: Ghana and Botswana to qualify
Quarter Finals:
Libya beat Sudan
Ghana beat Gabon
Tunisia beat Botswana
Ivory Coast beat Senegal
Semi Finals:
Ghana edge Libya (although it could very easily go the other way; we've beaten Ghana the last time we met)
Ivory Coast beat Tunisia (could go the other way as well)
3rd place:
Libya beat Tunisia on PKs; this'll be a close close game.
Final:
Ghana beat Ivory Coast
Group A: Libya and Senegal to qualify
Group B: Ivory Coast and Sudan to qualify
Group C: Tunisia and Gabon to qualify
Group D: Ghana and Botswana to qualify
Quarter Finals:
Libya beat Sudan
Ghana beat Gabon
Tunisia beat Botswana
Ivory Coast beat Senegal
Semi Finals:

3rd place:

Final:
Ghana beat Ivory Coast

Declined? When only last year an African team were inches away from making the top 4 teams in the world?
And plus, it just shows how the weaker teams are becoming stronger and making African football better. We now have rising NTs like Botswana and Gabon who both exceeded expectations by MILES.

When you consider Nigeria squad of 1994-7 the Africa football has declined badly
